This extraordinary tea service was made in Japan with a large brush strokes of a swirled orange glaze decorated with a raised dragon motif handles, spouts and dragon head finials on the lids of the tea pot, creamer and sugar. This is a really great set of Little Hostess Party Dishes made by Hazel Atlas in the early 1950s. This sixteen piece set includes four plates, four cups, four saucers, a creamer, sugar, teapot with lid. The colors are the burgundy, green, gray, chartreuse. All sixteen pieces are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a 1/8 inch flake off the very bottom of the sugar and was painted over - done in the making. Very rare plant stand in 2 interlocking sections by Chase Brass & Copper Co., made for one year only in 1933, in simple and elegant Art Deco style, beautifully crafted in copper and brass, the two sections can be utilized as a unit and also work well as separate stands or candle holders. Rare set of 11 Dansk wood chargers, each of laminated exotic and figural wood, stamped with Dansk information on backs, each plate of at least 6 layers of wood. They measure 12 1/8" directly across, and 13 1/4" at a diagonal angle. Squarish shapes, rounded corners, center is round, large enough for a regular dinner plate to set inside. They all have wonderful designs in the wood, some like birds eye maple, some like tiger maple, but they appear to be an exotic wood...

Japanese limited edition cement mortar block print pencil-titled in kanji "Poem 69-69" (indicating production in 1969) by Maki Haku (1924-2000). Pencil-signed and numbered 59/155 in the lower margin. The artist's square red seal is at the lower left corner of the image. This print features the highly embossed ideographs characteristic of Maki's work. The designs were created by inscribing on wet cement. Paper size: 19 5/8" x 13 1/2" (image size: 18 3/16" x 12 5/16"). Very good overall condition...
