Early handmade arts and crafts copper and mirror box designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar. Meaures 6 1/2"L X 4 1/4"D X 2 1/4"H. Mirrors on 5 sides are in fine vintage condition with no cracks or chips. The copper has a beautiful untouched patina. Two corners on the base are slightly seperated which appear to be original to the handmaking of the piece. See pictures. Hinged mirror top opens to a copper interior. Opaline glass and wooden framed box with geometric decoration in suprematist style, inspired by the De Stijl school and the porcelain created in Russia by Nikolai Suetin with its roots in the art of Kasimir Malevich. Late 1920’s, Dutch or Belgian, unmarked. Width including the wooden base "6 ¼ / 16 cm, height "2 1/2 / 6.3 cm. Condition: wear to the decoration (cf. pics).
Anchor Hocking Bubble (Boopie) 16 oz. Lemonades were made from 1940-65 (7" tall). Commonly called Boopie. Many people purchase this less costly style to compliment Imperials' Candlewick. But I have a mystery here . . . The lemonade is suppose to be 6" tall, NOT 7". Anybody have an opinion here? Five are available. All in mint condition.
