A very nice antique Chinese glass paperweight featuring a lampwork poinsettia. The bright red petals are arranged in a double row around a sulfur yellow millefiori center and are accented with a green stem and a pair of leaves. The Chinese copied this design from New England Glass Company paperweights of the 19th century. The glass in this example is relatively good quality, with only few small bubbles, and is considerably larger than many examples...

This is a really great set of Little Hostess Party Dishes made by Hazel Atlas in the early 1950s. This sixteen piece set includes four plates, four cups, four saucers, a creamer, sugar, teapot with lid. The colors are the burgundy, green, gray, chartreuse. This rare Morgantown Sunrise Medallion stem has lots going for it. It sits on the increasingly rare Reverse Stem (#7654-1/2) and broad clear foot. The WMF / Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik also made some outstanding art glass in 1926-1936, of which Myra Kristall and Ikora are the foremost series. Myra glass was treated to the surface with silver nitrate and metal salts to create rich and varied iridized effects. The inside of this Myra bowl with its lobed sides is a blueish silver green in daylight, the outside has got additional purple shades. Diameter "6 ½ / 16.5 cm and height "3 ½ / 9 cm. Condition: fine.
