An attractive, colorful frit paperweight showing a pair of hearts shot through with an arrow and surrounded by a laurel wreath and the word "Friendship," all against a bright mottled umbrella ground. The pontil is ground and frosted. The glass is nicely free of striae and bubbles. The quality of workmanship is quite good, and the weight is certainly the handiwork of one of the better West Virginia glass makers, possibly Gentile.

16094272 A Carder era Steuben Verre de Soie cologne bottle with a light blue jade stopper. The bottle is shown as shape 1988 in the Steuben factory line drawings and is 7 3/4 inches tall with the stopper. There is a polished pontil mark but the bottle is unsigned as was normal on most Verre de Soie items.

A mid-century modern Italian art glass 9 x 7" bowl made by Fratelli Toso of Murano, Italy in the 1950s. This bowl has a light orange colour at the bottom with a clear glass upper region with controlled bubbles - also known as bullicante. It has a (worn) Fratelli Toso blue/silver tag, and this heavy bowl is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs...

Classical urn vase by Herend. The porcelain factory in Herend, Hungary, was founded in the 1820's and is still working. The urn is the raspberry red version of their Chinese Bouquet pattern, the mark indicates a date before 1980. No lid. Height "8¾/ 22,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the 1116B fan vase in amethyst. (This color is a green ceramic wash applied over crystal glass.) The vase is approximately 7 1/2 inches high and in perfect condition. The horse murrines are surrounded by floral murrines and the whole is encased in clear glass. The piece measures 2 1/2 inches tall and is 3 inches across, there are no chips or cracks. A very rare French first standard silver (950/1000 pure silver) tastevin, the bottom bearing the coat of arms of the Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. The arms depict St. Vincent, patron saint of winemakers. The body is further decorated with the traditional raised "perles" for highlighting the reflections in the wine and recessed "cupules" and elongated "godrons" intended to concentrate the color during tasting. The handle is worked in the snake motif traditional in Burgundian tastevins...
