Beautiful lobed Kutani yaki dish in Yoshidaya style, modern. Decoration of camellia in white, aubergine, green, speckled yellow and gilt. The back with a character in gilt, possibly Qiu, meaning Autumn. It is also defined by Graesse in his classical work about pottery and porcelain marks as from the village of Shinomine in Arita. Hammered silver sugar tongs from Martin Mayer in Mainz, Germany, c 1920-30. Martin Mayer’s firm, founded 1888, was a well-known manufacturer of silver cutlery and jewelry until it was confiscated by the Nazis in 1938. Peter Behrens, Hans Christiansen and Patriz Huber are known to have worked for Martin Mayer. Of these, Behrens - one of the founders of the Deutscher Werkbund – is the most likely to have designed these sugar nips. German silver standard mark (crown and 835) and makers mark MM...

Charmingly kitschy majolica figurines, a pair of musicians by Ditmar Urbach, c 1930. An accordionist and a flutist, in Robin Hood-like attire. Height "9½/ 24 cm. Printed mark Ditmar Urbach Made in Germany, impressed model numbers 14257 and 142 58. The mark was in use before the confiscation of the factory in 1938 . Condition: a nick to the hand of one musician and repair to the hat of the other, and to the feet of both (cf. photos).

Candle holder or small vase by Liisa Hallamaa for Arabia, stoneware, the upper part with eruptive glaze effects. In 1950 LA joined the Arabia company, where she became a great experimenter and innovator of glazes before opening up a studio of her own in 1971. Signed LH Arabia. Bowl or dish in Sommerso technique, clear glass and grass green, designed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta glass works, Sweden. VL was appointed chief designer at Kosta in 1950, and the bowl was produced in the mid 50’s. Incised mark Kosta LH 1308/75 (model number), where L is for Lindstrand and H means artisanal, made by hand. Height "2 / 5 and width "3 ¾ / 9.5 cm. Condition: fine.

The size of Figurine: 5" H x3 1/2" W x 2" D. This is Lovely Vintage Hummel Figurine, Boy w/violin and Puppy Dog. It is Made in W. Germany during period of 1958 - 1972. It has inscription signature of M. J. Hummel on the stand. The condition of Figurine is excellent. Please note the crackle glaze on figure is from original when the figure was in kiln and it is not forced crackle hairline. It was purchased in West Germany in 1970.

Melusina or Melusine is a heroine in medieval European folklore. This figurine is a modernist version of her transformation into an often two-tailed mermaid or fish. Unglazed stoneware and gilt hairstyle. Little is known about Y-Keramik other than the workshop was situated in former Western Germany and that the gilding was made of 24 karat gold, this information available on paper labels on other Y-Keramik figures from the 1970's. Impressed potter’s mark “ilba” to the back...

Made around 1940, hallmarked 830, with makers monogram for Hansen & Andersen, well-known Danish silversmiths. Ready for use; a new lipstick can be inserted and then maneuvered by turning the base. WMF Ikora patinated metal dish or bowl, Germany c 1930. The surface iridescent in yellow-green and black, in the center a stylized ribbon or flower or an abstract Art Déco motif. Small paper label to the back D11 and the impressed Ikora and WMF factory mark for the German Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik. Diameter "10 / 25 cm. Condition: a wire for hanging fixed by soldering.

Overlay glass bowl or dish, the center light blue and opalescent, the edges more green than blue. Part of the edge softly folds over, creating the irregular and organic shape typical of the fifties. Unmarked. While Scandinavian art glass at the time normally was signed, this unmarked bowl probably emanates from one of the Murano glassworks. Height "1 1/3 / 3.5 and width "4 / 10.5 cm. Two charming little elephants and a kangaroo, part of a miniature glass menagerie from the Bimini Werkstätte in Vienna (1923 – 1938). Lampworked, the insides covered by a shimmering mother-of-pearl-like mercury layer. Height "1 ½ - 1 ¾ / 3.5 - 5 cm. Condition: a few flakes to the interior (cf. pics).

There are no chips, no cracks and no repairs to this item. This item is in excellent condition.

The canary canoe is 8 1/4" long and 3" wide at the center.

This is a really great ruby red Fan and File childs size play dishes set made by Westmoreland Glass in the 1980s. This set includes a round butter dish with lid which measures 3 1/2 inches in diameter X 2 3/4 inches high and is signed on the bottom Westmoreland. The two handled sugar bowl with lid and handled creamer measure 2 1/4 inches in diameter X 3 1/2 inches high and are signed Westmoreland. All five pieces are in very good condition with no chips or cracks...
