This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1925. The date code indicates this year. The floral painting is signed by E. Phillips. The plates were produced especially for the retailer Ovington Brothers in New York. These plates measure 10 1/2 inches in diameter. They have a two inch crimson red border that is overlaid with elaborate raised gilding. Brilliantly colored flowers fill the centers of each plate...

Bowl or ashtray from Marcello Fantoni, Firenze (Florence), 1950’s. The upper part made of yellow clay with an orange coating, the base of brown clay. Heavily chamotted. Signed Fantoni, Italy and (possibly) a model number. Diameter "4¾/ 11,8 and height "2½/ 6,5 cm. Condition: fine.

A sterling silver holder for a menu, the design somewhere between Art Déco and modernism. Superbly engraved monogram. Today, menu holders might be used also for a photo or a birthday card. From Touron, one of the most well-established Parisian silver manufacturer (from 1824). Stamped Kendall-Touron, French assay mark: boar’s head and maker’s mark L&R. Height "1/ 2,5 cm. Small but massive crystal glass dish by Daum, France, around 1970. Single decoration to one side of a cast and etched flower with a small accent in pink. Engraved signature Daum, France. Diameter "5¼/ 13 – 13,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Three German dishes with sprayed decoration in black and brown/orange. Geometric Déco style, around 1930. Mark to one dish: Made in Germany, Mustersch(utz) = Protected Pattern, and stamped mark depicting a traditional workman. Diameter "6¾/ 17 cm. Condition: fine.

Semi-eggshell thin cup and saucer by Imura, Japan, c 1920. Decoration in black, gilt and orange-red of fans in the Kutani style. Signed Nihon (Japan) Yokohama Imura Tsukuru. Height of cup "2¼/ 6 cm, and diameter of saucer "4¾/ 12 cm. Condition: a glaze bubble under the enameled decoration. Saucer with a small nick to the rim (cf. photo).

This porcelain dish was produced in Denmark by Bing and Grondahl around 1950. The inventory number is 1167. It measures 7 1/2 inches long, 6 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep. The porcelain is quite substantial. The dish is molded in high relief with an art nouveau inspired design of stylized leaves and flowers. The color pallet is shades of blue, violet and brown.
