A French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the form of a large snail worked in chrome on a mahogany base. The design is by the famed French Art Deco illustrator Benjamin Rabier, who had a side job designing entertaining barware. The twelve picks have red bakelite finials. Cocktail pick holders ("porte-piques") were once a fixture of every French bar and café. Today, they can be use to spear olives of cherries in a cocktail, or to serve small hors d'oeuvres.
Old Counsellor cigar box, altered by hand, painted black, fitted with red felt interior compartments to hold jewelry, the lid carved and painted in a Deco design. The box measures 8 3/4" by 6 1/4" by 2 3/4". On the bottom one can see under the paint the original incised declarations of authenticity of the cigars, including notary public seal from Ulster County, New York, and other information that is difficult to decipher...
Really nice vintage brass 3-arm hunting horn chandelier. The 3 horn arms are connected in center to a large hunt horn that also has light in bottom. Heavy patina to brass. Also trimmed out with silver/chrome bands, knobs and mouthpieces. Made by Chapman in the 1980's. Original wiring but lights nicely. Pictures don't do this chandelier justice. Measures approx. 25" in diameter (widest part of globes) and 24" tall. Heavy solid piece. Hurricane/globes can be removed.
Lovely handpainted bombay two-drawer check with marble top. Beautifully painted flowers decorate the front, outlined by green with tiny flowers. It measures 30" tall x 23" wide x 16" deep. It probably dates from the mid 20th century, and is in beautiful original condition.
