Measure just a tad under 13" high, the largest size, and are 2 3/4" in diameter at base. Candlesticks are weighted to keep them from tipping, as candles would increase the weight at the top...

A French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the form of a large chrome snail on a mahogany base. The design is by the famed French Art Deco children’s books illustrator Benjamin Rabier, who had a side job designing entertaining barware. The twelve picks have red bakelite finials that resemble cherries. Cocktail pick holders (“porte-piques”) were once a fixture of every Parisian bar and café...

Here is a fabulous piece of crewel which may be used as either a coverlet, wall hanging or rug. The crewel is 100% wool and has a linen backing. Issues: the backing needs to be re-tacked in certain areas, there is minor staining,and the crewel is pilling in a few areas. We prefer not to clean it. Measures 40" x 67".

A pair of gilt brass roses metalwork table lamps with marble bases from the 1930s 1940s. These beauties stand 25-3/4" to the tops of the original finials and the bases are genuine black veined marble. They may actually date from the 1920s and they have been rewired and resocketed. The pleated silk shades shown are later (and were on the lamps when we acquired them) and they can be included if you wish (they have minor staining/spotting) but that will raise the shipping costs substantially...

An unusual French Art Deco cocktail pick set featuring a stylized snail carved from beautifully-grained macassar ebony. The snail has a very unusual streamline aerodynamic appearance and colorful phenolic ornaments on the antennae. The set is completed with an ebony and bakelite "basket" holding chrome cocktail picks with multicolored phenolic heads.

Pair Italian made gilded wall Bracket/Shelf, 13" high, 10" wide-top, 6 1/2" deep-top, with broad Palm leaf design, tall and thin shelf. The condition is good.

Old Counsellor cigar box, altered by hand, painted black, fitted with red felt interior compartments to hold jewelry, the lid carved and painted in a Deco design. The box measures 8 3/4" by 6 1/4" by 2 3/4". On the bottom one can see under the paint the original incised declarations of authenticity of the cigars, including notary public seal from Ulster County, New York, and other information that is difficult to decipher...
