Tibetan Himalayan hand woven Wool Rug, with Buddihist motifs and double fish among free flowing Tibetan Clouds in cream color background, purchased new carpet in Shigatse or Gyantse Rug factory in 1980's, thick wool and heavy weight, 6 1/2'(78") x 4 1/2'(54"), with free flowing Tibetan Clouds and various Buddhist motifs in the cream color background, made by "Tibet-Gyen Carpet Factory" in Tibet, cloth label in the back, the condition is good, no wears or damages.

Very unusual “janus” designed mushroom mask; one side shows the native wrinkled face of the mushroom whereas the opposite side shows a smooth face with more carving work. Eyes and mouth are common to both faces. The mask has ear pendants, which are made with 2 different seeds, one is rudraksha bead which is the seed of a very common tree in Nepal...

This drum handle shows 3 ancestor faces with different expressions. The central part shows an important local repair. The tip is a Makara mouth showing significant signs of wear. Very old black patina with a vitrified appearance, at least from very early 20th . H 41cm.

This Tibetan wool sash measures 12.7 cm x 340.4 cm in length including the silky fringes. The tigma (cross) motif is an ancient good luck charm among Tibetans and here it is depicted in a discontinuous weft pattern design. These sashes are traditionally worn to secure the traditional Tibetan attire called a chuba. Traditional Tibetan bowl for tsampa (barley flour dough, the usual Tibetan meal) made of burl and silver. Beautiful outside silver decoration with geometrical and floral designs.
This bowl probably belonged to a wealthy person.
Good condition except for a small accident of use on the rim and some wood missing under (see pix). D: 11 cms. Tibet

Nice flat and thin primitive mask with a white painted trisul on the front. Hard black patina, the eyes and mouth are under-ligned with an old white paint. Hairs are fixed with glue. A king-sized cotton duvet cover from Nepal, measuring 111 x 74½" inches (43.7 x 29.3 cm) in purple, red and green. The viúvavajra ("crossed vajra") and chevron motifs are depicted in wool thread in chain stitch. Condition: Excellent. The vajra (meaning diamond or thunderbolt) is believed to represent firmness of spirit and spiritual power and is displayed in the national emblem of Bhutan.

This belt would have been worn for festival gatherings. Decorated with beads, cowrie shells and central turquoise medallion the belt strap is narrow approx 1.25 inched wide. Hanging from the belt are beaded strands in graduated lengths with each strand ending with a cowrie shell. There is a cord tie attached so that the belt can be tied at the back of the wearer.
