This elegantly styled murrine pitcher by Fratelli Toso illustrates the technical expertise that the Muranese artisans possess. Each murrine is individually made and they are assembled and fused to the blowpipe and then blown into this relatively thin and elegant form. Being a glassblower myself, I have great respect for the level of skill demonstrated in vessels constructed with murrine. These were produced in the early 1900's, according to Leslie Pinas' "Fratelli Toso"...

Fabulous circa 1920s Murano candlesticks in ruby red, a color rarely seen in early Italian glass. Each candle stick has two applied opaque green glass pears with black stems. The execution and design of this pair is exceptional. In excellent condition. Unsigned. Each just under 10" tall. Note: the photos make the items look as though they are leaning. Amazing DECO Early Murano Deep RED IRIDESCENT with Flower Top Decoration Art Glass Vanity Powder Box!!! Unsure of attribution but similar to those by Artisti Barovier and Salvaiti Companies, circa 1920-30s! The surface almost looks Mirror Plated from the high iridescence. On the inside it has a partial label Collectors label and reads "John Mohlenpa". Might be missing 1 last letter to the last name...

Cute Little VENETIAN Early Murano OPALESCENT BLUE Art Glass Sweets Container with Pear Decoration and Prunts!!! Attributed to FRATELLI TOSO!!! The opal "Girasol" swirls throughout the body of the piece. For accuracy, i found a section of the blue trim has been broken and repaired (see photo 5). Hard to tell when displayed. Has no other damage (chips, nicks, or impact marks)...

Vittorio Zecchin designed for Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Capellin, Venini & Co. from 1921-1925. This delicate soffiato vessel is wafer thin and has 2 acid stamps: venini murano & MADE IN ITALY. Nearly 100 years old, measuring 10.5" tall, this weightless beauty is in very good condition with no damage.

Very Elegant VENETIAN Style Early Murano Topaz with Blue Trim Soffiati Art Glass Footed Baluster Vase!!! An unusual Japanese Awaji vase hand thrown with applied floral pieces. Though designed for ikebana, the basic bottle point form and the beautiful glaze makes this vase a very striking piece that could be displayed as an art object. The artist used his creative talents to make the vase stand out by applying pieces that appear to be a log or branch with a vine and a large flower...

Three Water Droppers from Japan. Two droppers show a boy holding a red snapper fish which is symbolic of good luck. The third dropper has Hotei's bag holding the water. Hotei is the god of contentment and happiness, and his bag holds an inexhaustible cache of treasures. The standing boy measures about 3" high x 1 3/4" wide. The riding boy measures about 3" x 1 3/4" high...
