This is a set of 10 crystal glasses that were made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s. They are unmarked but the style and workmanship is similar to pieces from that area. They are 3 inches high and the mouth of the glass is 2 1/2 inches wide. They ring when tapped. We think they are cocktail glasses from the shape and size. Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the cup & saucer set in the rainbow treatment. The color is ruby flash applied over crystal glass. What makes this plate interesting is that the color is applied only to the outer edge of the plate, leaving the center crystal. A lovely Japanese fruitwood tray produced in the late Taisho period. The scene was hand carved with a thin gold gilt applied in the carved areas. The tray was made from one piece of wood and has a beautiful warm patina. In excellent condition, it measures 10" diameter and the rim is 1.5" high.

The hannya mask is a mask used in Japanese Noh theater, representing a jealous female demon. It is characterized by two sharp bull-like horns, metallic eyes, and a leering mouth. Wonderful hand-carving from teak wood depicting Ganesha, the Hindu god of beginnings. He is easily identifiable by his elephant's head and four arms, two of which are shown holding his own broken tusks, and one of which is grasping his nose. Antique early 20th-century Indian padlock entirely made of brass and adorned with the Hindu god Hanuman on the front plate.
