This is an unusual rectangular bronze casket-form in ornate Gothic Revival style, having cast bas relief, highly decorated with religious motif illustrating scenes from the life of Christ; circa 1870's. Being offered is an exceptional and rare circa 1943 sterling silver pitcher by William Spratling, of Taxco, Mexico. Handwrought, bulbous form pitcher with a magnificent oversized carved wood chunky handle in the shape of a profile of a bird; silver balls surround the base of the handle. Dimensions: 6 3/4 inches tall by 7 inches from handle to spout. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition.

It is a lovely rich amber with a wheel cut rose and leaves on either side of this elegant trophy vase. The trophy handles hug the waist, then flare to attach to the foot.
