This is a special old Japanese Imari bowl. The crane design and use of enamels is very attractive. The piece looks similar to some of the early Fukagawa pieces. Condition is very good and there is mainly wear to the gold trim on the top rim. This heavy bowl measures 7 inches across and stands 3 1/4 tall.

This is a fine old Japanese Porcelain vase from a rare Artist. The vase is very heavy and it stands 12 inches tall. The vase is decorated in underglaze blues and reds much like some of the Makuzu Kozan Pieces. There is an unknown impressed signature on the bottom. Maybe someone in Japan will recognize the signature of this fine studio artist. The vase was once a lamp and the hole has been nicely restored.

Decorated in underglaze blue and maroon, yellow, red, and gold enamels with floral roundels between flowering shrubs, including plum and prunus, extending over the rim into the interior. A pair of 19th century signed Japanese porcelain Imari bowls with covers. Each of rounded form decorated under glaze with blue, iron red enamels, panels of stylized bamboo and leaves on red ground and gilded.
MEASUREMENTS: 5 1/8 inches (13cm) in diameter. Height: 3 ½ inches (9cm).
CONDITION: in good condition except for one hairline crack in the interior of one bowl. No repairs or restoration.

Two very rare Ko-imari rice bowls from the Genroku period. C. 1690-1710. These are just gorgeous, the bottoms are painted in the chevron pattern, and various geometrical patterns of roundels with honey comb patterns throughout. Two dragons adorn either side of each cup and each surrounded with colors of iron red and green enamels with gold gilt accents.
