The poem etched on the side of this exceptional piece reads: "As a pastime ― bringing clumsy, fragile things to sell ― at Uruma Market ― how lonely!"  A very significant poem as it conveys a bit of irony; for the Edo period nun who inscribed this poem would go on to create a legacy of art, beauty, and philosophy that endures even today. Special Offer: Reduced from $1200. now $700. Impressive Ming Dynasty pottery “sancai” green and amber glazed wedding bed. There are two repairs: appears to have been cut in half and then glued back together and there is one on repair at the top of the roof façade- all noted in last enlargements. H: 47cm18.5in and W: 35.5/13.9in x 20cm/8in.

A green turquoise pendant with matching chain. The center turquoise appears to be stabilized with an epoxy film. The silver and dyed howlite bead chain measures 20"; the pendant 2" x 1-5/8". Ganadonegro has been creating jewelry since 1984. The pendant is signed on the back.

Pair of Modern Georgian sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Roger Williams Silver Co. (later part of Gorham) in Providence, ca 1900. Each: Bellied socket with round detachable bobeche; tapering shaft on raised foot. Beaded and faceted. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 4520. Very good condition.

Pair of Irish Georgian cast sterling silver candlesticks. Traditional form of fluted baluster shaft on stepped serpentine foot; socket bellied with detachable cruciform bobeche. Ornament includes scallop shells and a range of human heads from long-tressed women to bearded men. Maker’s marks include stamp attributed to Royal Irish Silver Ltd, Dublin assay stamp, and 1969 date letter.
