Fine Monochrome ZEN ink painting and calligraphy depicting the serene Lord BUDDHA. Signed and with the artist's red seal on rice paper. By Monk Khemananda Bkikkhu, purchased at Gallery exhibition, Bangkok, Thailand, 1981. Size: 21 x 21 cm., sold without frame. The translation of the calligraphy reads as follows: " AM I THE BUDDHA WHO RENOUNCED THE ROYAL THRONE, MINDING MORALITY, MINDING AUSTERITY? NOT BUDDHA I AM, ONLY YOU NAMED ME SO.
