Robust and rare mizusashi by veteran and highly important potter, Morino Taimei. Using two glazes, green enamel and silver overglaze this mizusashi is a classic example of Morino's work and a wonderful modern tea piece.

This mizusashi measures 20 x 16.5 cm and is in perfect condition with its original signed wood box and is clearly stamped on the base.

This unusual Bizen chawan was made Sakauchi Ensen (b. 1922) of Okayama Prefecture and is unique even among the richly diverse styles of Bizen-yaki. Zenga style conical summer teabowl with a attractive Jun glaze over stoneware with calligraphy on the exterior of the bowl; SEI DAI JI and then in a column, DAI Chawan (great chawan). This chawan was made at the Seidaiji temple and is reminiscent of earlier Chinese temmoku and yuteki chawan in form with a Jun glaze that has a visually soft and appealing appearance.

This chawan is stamped as well as signed and is in fine condition with out a box and measures 5.5" x 2.5".

Elegant Irabo glazed chawan by Takatori legend, Miraku Kamei. This chawan has a Chinese influenced form while being made and glazed in the Takatori style. The flowing irabo ash glaze contrasts nicely against the reddish takatori fine clay.
