Fine kutsu-gata hakeme chawan with flourishes of iron over the slip and under the clear, blue tinged ash glaze. The bowl is broad and fits well in the hand and has a crisp, well cut kodai that compliments the form and clay. Made by Goto Tetsu (Satoshi) who lives and works in Echizen (Fukui Pref.) at the Tsubaki-gama, he has spent a lifetime working within the Korean idiom combining Echizen and Karatsu pottery especially the gohonde and hakeme styles.
