Chinese baluster vases in famille rose with nine peaches among flowers and vines with bats on a white ground. The symbols of peaches and bats together mean long life and happiness. The inside of each is glazed white, as well as the base. On each base is an overglazed stamped blue six character Qianlong mark.

Pair of vintage oriental pheasants in gilded sterling 925 silver, and polychrome cloisonne enamels. Each pheasant is mounted on a wood base, marked and numbered.

A selection of 9 hand painted apothecary jars ranging in age from antique to vintage. All are in good condition with some minor wear to the enamels and gilt. Each one carries their original lid...

Millefleur decorated charger on a burgundy ground well covered in a colorful display of lush blooms, the exterior left bare. The double foot rim encircling the recessed displays a four character mark surrounded by double squares in iron red.

Pair of cylinder cases, thinly potted with narrow necks and feet painted in mirror image with birds perched among flowering prunus plants. Accented red hand drawn borders at the rims and base of each vase with a poem on the opposite side.

On the base of each is a red overglaze seal of Liu Yucen.

Condition: On one of the vases, there is the remnants of a Jianding export seal. Next to this seal is a glaze crack, most likely from trying to remove the seal...

Series of 4 Chinese Horse drawings by Xu Beihong. Black ink on paper mounted each in a silk border. Each drawing depicting a different horse pose. All signed by the artist with various seals.

Provenance: Purchased from the estate of a retired professor from the University of Paris France many years ago.

Condition: These prints have never been framed, they have been kept in a portfolio. Some yellowing to the silk borders.

Set of three vintage glass vases as follows:

1 - White stem vase with central hand-painted rose with a lattice top and bottom border accented with gilt. On the base in green "Hand Painted by Paris Style" plus a logo. Size is 7-3/4" high. Condition very good, with no breaks or cracks.

Set of two Chinese ink stones. The larger one is carved with dragons and clouds surrounding the three pots. On the back there are two sections of writing. The other stone is covered and the front cover has scenic carving with a poem. On the back of this one there is a three character seal mark. Both stones are well used.

A large Chinese eggshell yellow ground baluster vase well painted with two principal circular panels of a large house among mountains and a coastal mountainous landscape with lesser panels. All painted on a detailed ground painted in formal Qing style with dragons, vases and other precious objects, along with flowers and formal scrolling foliage.

Antique blue opaline glass vase with a gilt ormolu top border and a family crest. In very good condition, no breaks or cracks. This vase is approximately 6-1/2" high.

Unique Chinese yixing teapot with rondels of marbled clay surrounding the teapot and on the cover. The spout and the handle are modelled in a bamboo design with a pig finial on the lid. There is a four character impressed mark on the base, as well as a different four character impressed mark on the underside of the lid.

Age: Purchased as an antique teapot. Actual age is not known

A Chinese underglaze-blue painted porcelain ewer and cover. The spout with six-character Ming Dynasty Xuande mark. The inside glazed white, the base glazed with a blue tint. The body of the ewer finely painted all over with lotus flowers, scrolls, leaves and fruits.

A Chinese bronze temple gong, made in the Ming Dynasty style with mark of the Xuande Emperor (15th century). The bell having a kylin form hanging loop, cylindrical body with floral banding and kylin motifs and cast with the inscription, “Made in the Emperors name, Ming Dynasty – Your marriage will be recorded for ever.” Held in a carved wood frame.

Pair of Chinese mirror image porcelain lantern vases painted in qianjiang enamels showing a scholar and his student in a garden setting with the student offering the scholar a flower branch. There is writing on each vase in black and on the base is a six character mark in iron red.

Condition of these vases is good with no chips or breaks. The black writing has faded.

Size: 7-1/2" high by 5-1/4" diameter

A unique Chinese famille rose dish featuring a large central sunflower with a smaller one beside it. Two flies hovering above with a praying mantis below. This dish has an oval and a square seal in iron red against a gold ground, along with writing and black ink with two further red seals to the side. The underside of this dish is covered in pink. The base in white with a four character Yongzheng mark in gold surrounded by double gold borders.

Size: Approximately 9" diameter

Large impressive antique Japanese Kyo-Satsuma-yaki vase. Various flowers and butterflies surround the vase between an accordian style border which is repeated on the collar of the vase. All set on a blue ground and outlined in gilt. The inside and the base glazed clear to reveal a light crackle. On the base in black ink is the mark of Kikozan Sobei VII (1868-1927).

There are two types of Satsuma ware, one made in Kagoshima and the other in Kyoto, known as Kyo-Satsuma-yaki.

An antique green glazed porcelain bottle vase with the glaze stopping just below the top rim revealing an all over ge-type crackle with dark grey (iron wire) and gold (golden thread) crackle. The base rim unglazed with the base revealing the same ge-type crackle. Unmarked.

A pair of elegant small mirror image Chinese famille rose garlic mouth bottle vases each decorated with a design of bands of stylized flower shapes at the mouth over a ruyi head border. The sides of the vases painted with luscious peony blooms on which two exotic birds perch, all over rockwork and key pattern band.

On the opposite sides, multiple lines of calligraphy with three seal marks. Base holds four character Yongzheng seal mark in blue surrounded by a double border.

A Chinese shoushan seal carved in its natural form. On one side it shows a man riding a donkey, with another kneeling gathering items under a large tree. The reverse reveals a home in the distance. On this side, there is also a four character carved mark. This seal is carved all around using its natural colours and striations for features within the carving. The base holds the seal. A Chinese cloisonne enamel dish with a central medallion made to imitate dreamstone outlined with a border enameled with flowers and butterflies on a blue ground with an additional border with flowers on a white ground. The dish is completed with a copper rim in a wave design. The back enameled in the same design around the rim with the center enameled in blue. All with gilded wires. This charger is quite heavy.

A pair of Chinese Blanc de Chine figures of recumbent females, each lying on a large lotus leaf on a rock bed and with partial crackle. Their left hands are raised gently supporting their heads and in their right hands, laying by their side they are clasping the ties of their robes. These figures have very small differences between them.

Hand painted vase made by the Alexandra Porcelain Works, Ernest Wahliss in Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, c. 1911-1912. This vase depicts a maiden walking with her ducks in a country setting on one side while the other side continues with the country scene. It is hand signed by the artist "....... der Classen" at the bottom of the main scene. The base of the vase carries the seal of the factory, along with it's manufacturing identifying marks.

A Chinese antique porcelain bowl in underglaze blue. The outside of the bowl is surrounded in lotus scrolls while the inside shows a phoenix in flight with a scroll border surrounding the foliated rim. The base rim left unglazed. The base glazed with a four character mark stating "Da Ming Nian Zao" (Made During the Great Ming Dynasty) surrounded by double circles in underglaze blue.

Set of three Chinese Qingbai celadon glaze bowls with incised design on the inside. The outside glazed the same, but left blank. The foot rims and bases as well as the top rims left unglazed.

Condition: Two of the bowls are in good condition with the exception of some minor kiln imperfections due to firing. The third bowl has a rim crack and also a chip. Refer to pictures.

A celadon-glazed vase (Ganlanping). Covered on the outside with an even celadon glaze stopping just short of the top rim. The inside is glazed white, as well as the base. The base rim left unglazed. A six character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue on the base.

A Chinese porcelain Famille Verte brush pot with motif of birds perching on trees surrounded by flowers done in Kangxi style. Unsigned.

Age: Qing Dynasty (late 19th century/early 20th century)

Size: 13 cm high by 9 cm diameter

Garlic shaped mouth with twin turquoise ground handles supporting it. The flask is covered in flower heads and bats surrounding a shou character over a stylised lotus flower with other Buddhist emblems all outlined in gilt. The raised base with a palmette decoration below a scroll band.

The base rim has been left unglazed and the recessed base is covered in the same turquoise glaze surrounding a six character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue, it's background left unglazed.

Chinese porcelain baluster vase painted in late 'famille rose' style on a white ground with a group of Immortals resting in a landscape. The base glazed white with a six character Jiaqing mark in iron red and of the period.

Size: Approximately 30.5 cm high

Age: Jiaqing (1796-1821)

Condition: There is a gash in the top rim extending approximately 1". A restorer can repair this vase at minimal cost.

Chinese porcelain vase Hu shaped with famille rose decoration, the floral and scroll decoration on the main section of the body of the vase has a key pattern border around the rim of the vase and a key and geometric base border with bamboo side handles. Chinese watercolour painting depicting the god of longevity or Shou Lao. The picture is called "Image of the Star of Longevity" (after the three star gods: prosperity, happiness, longevity). The inscription describes a story about a Daoist that dates to the reign of the Northern Song emperor Ningzong. The artist is surnamed Yao.

A bronze censer modeled as a Buddhist lion with a hinged neck that lifts up his head. This piece is quite heavy.

Good patina throughout. Evidence of being well used. No repairs or breaks that are noticeable.

Approximate size is 5-1/2" high by 4" wide by 3-1/4" depth when closed.

This lot consists of two serving dishes dated to Qianlong period done in underglaze blue on white. Both plates have unglazed bases.

First Plate: Design is of a village scene with a man or a boy saying goodbye to his wife or mother, bordered by flowers and butterflies. This plate has a couple of rim chips. Still a very nice example. The approximate size is 9-6/8" long by 6-7/8" wide.

Pair of of Chinese antique spinach green jade plaques. Each is hand carved with a scene of bamboo and another flowering plant with butterflies overhead, all within an incised circle border. Gilt highlights the incised design of both. The reverse of each has been left bare. The stands are later.

Size of each is approximately 18-1/4 cm diameter by 0.63 cm in width. The height including the stands is 29.85 cm.

Blanc de Chine statue of Guanyin holding a flowering lotus stem in her right hand dressed in flowing windswept robes standing on a base of rolling waves, standing on a lotus pod. Her open robes reveal a beaded necklace. Glazed all over in white with the inside left bare. At the base, the faint stamp of "CHINA" is engraved. The statue and the base appear to have been made separate and then luted together.

A pair of Chinese blanc-de-chine 'heron' candlesticks each perched among folliage with flowers and other wildlife.

Size: Height: 19.75 inches, Width: 7 inches, Depth: 5 inches

Age: 19th Century

Condition: Good condition. One of the herons has the top of his crown broken off and there are small areas of chips and cracks which are normal for this size and age.

Painted in Qianjiang style with one face with two figures beneath a willow tree. The opposite showing a quail on the ground with flowerheads, the remaining faces with texts. Side relief elephant mask ring handles. Thickly glazed with an orange-peel effect on the outside. Glazed on the inside and base with the base rim left bare. Various seals in red. Dated 1911
