A Dehua Blanc de Chine figure of Guanyin

The bodhisattva is modelled seated resting her hands on a rock cliff hidden inside her long flowing robes with one foot exposed. Around her neck she wears a jewelled necklace and a serene expression on her face. The colour an ivory tone.

Age: Old, the age of these plates span from the Yongzheng (1723-1735) period to the Qianlong period (1736-1795)

A Chinese "Robins Egg" glazed linghzi waterpot in the form of a ruyi-shaped head of a lingzhi fungus, with a bat at the rim and a large chilong on the opposite rim. Glazed all over with the base rim left unglazed.

A pair of Blanc de Chine prunis trees. One has two birds resting on it's branches surrounded by prunis blossoms. Each set in a rectangular planter with a center hole.

A fine copper-red-glazed bowl. The deep rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a gently everted rim, covered overall in a deep red colored glaze fading to white at the rim. The base and the inside white. The base with a six-character Kangxi imperial mark in underglaze-blue within a double circle.

Chinese qingbai bowl separated into six equal lobes moulded on the interior with stylized flowers and leaves, alternating with boys at play with a center lotus bloom. Covered overall with a glaze of pale greenish-blue tone. Remnants of the copper rim.

Painted in Qianjiang style with one face with two figures beneath a willow tree. The opposite showing a quail on the ground with flowerheads, the remaining faces with texts. Side relief elephant mask ring handles. Thickly glazed with an orange-peel effect on the outside. Glazed on the inside and base with the base rim left bare. Various seals in red. Dated 1911

Large impressive antique Japanese Kyo-Satsuma-yaki vase. Various flowers and butterflies surround the vase between an accordian style border which is repeated on the collar of the vase. All set on a blue ground and outlined in gilt. The inside and the base glazed clear to reveal a light crackle. On the base in black ink is the mark of Kikozan Sobei VII (1868-1927).

There are two types of Satsuma ware, one made in Kagoshima and the other in Kyoto, known as Kyo-Satsuma-yaki.

Thinly potted and incised with 8 boys around a fence under overhanging trees in leisure in green enamel between a top and a lower border. The inside glazed with yellow and left bare. The base rim round, smooth and left unglazed with the base covered in the same yellow glaze with a six character under-glaze Yongzheng blue mark surrounded by double under-glaze circles.

Condition: Bowl is slightly warped, but in otherwise good condition. No noticeable breaks or cracks, except those resulting from the kiln firing.

Chinese tea caddy and saucer done in grisaille tones with gilt.

The tea caddy has a orange peel white glaze ground with a central flower with butterflies on the front and back. Similar design is on each side. The cap is original. The base left bare.

The saucer is done in a similar design with a central flower surrounded by various borders. The reverse glazed in white.

Pair of antique large Chinese cloisonne horses. The horses of red tones divided by wires with each animal standing on a raised foreleg. Decorated on the body, legs and head with cropped manes. The blazes on the heads coloured white, as well as just above the hoofs. The tails are removable. The belly has a round aperture.

Blanc de Chine statue of Guanyin holding a flowering lotus stem in her right hand dressed in flowing windswept robes standing on a base of rolling waves, standing on a lotus pod. Her open robes reveal a beaded necklace. Glazed all over in white with the inside left bare. At the base, the faint stamp of "CHINA" is engraved. The statue and the base appear to have been made separate and then luted together.

A pair of Chinese blanc de chine figures of the immortal Budai, each figure shown with laughing expression and holding a string of beads in their right hands while their left grasps their long robes. The robes fastened at the upper chest with circular clasp. Below the corpulent immortals robes the robes are fastened with a long, tasselled fastener. Remains of old collection sticker with writing on the underside of one of the figures.

Large green stoneware model of a standing horse, done in Tang style, covered in a rich crackled green glaze, on an integral rectangular base. The base is unusual having a central piercing & being built up rather than simply flat as in the originals.

Condition: Good overall condition, some small areas of chipping and one corner on the base has a chip. On the upper back of the horse is the remains of a Jian Ding seal.

Hand painted vase made by the Alexandra Porcelain Works, Ernest Wahliss in Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, c. 1911-1912. This vase depicts a maiden walking with her ducks in a country setting on one side while the other side continues with the country scene. Chinese famille rose plate with a central figure of a rooster with other roosters among lotus blooms and other foliage. The underside of this plate has been covered in pewter, leaving the base exposed that shows a six character iron red Guangxu mark. With the addition of pewter, this dish is quite heavy.

A chinese Blanc de Chine figure of Magu with a fawn at her side looking up at her. Magu is standing on a rocky base in flowing robes holding a ewer in both hands, the fawn supporting a basket of flowers on it's back. Impressed double marks on the upper back.

The square seal reads Puji Yuren...."the vastly accomplished fisherman", and is one that was used by the potter Su Xuejin (1869-1919). Su was a late Qing-dynasty master figure mode...

Chinese carved and pierced jade plaque mounted on a carved wooden stand. This stone is a pale green with white and lavender striations. The carving depicts Shou Lao holding a peach in his right hand and a staff in his left hand standing by a rock and a pine tree. This piece was given to wish longevity to the recipient. Shou Lao is the immortal of longevity in the Taoist belief. This plaque is a striated jadeite

Made in the Jingdezhen kilns. On the inside of the base the word "CHINA" stamped in red.
