This early 20th century yellow vase mounted as a table lamp is 20” high, 6 ¼” wide and 4 ½” in depth. The vase is 8 ¼” high, 5” wide and 3 ½” in depth. On both the front and back, it depicts a 5 clawed dragon floating between the ocean and the clouds. Eight immortal symbols are on both sides. The vase had been drilled and mounted on a cut out and embossed brass base. It is in great condition.

This superb late 19th century export ivory carving is 11 ¾” high, 4 ½” wide and 3 ¾” thick. It depicts daily activity in a small village. There are houses, temples and pagodas surrounded by a river, a forest of pine trees and mountains. There is an old repair on a pine tree, some small losses and several hairline cracks on the top of the tusk. Considering its age, it is in great condition.

This matched pair of ivory carvings of birds resting on a plum tree was completed in the mid or late 19th century. They depict long tail birds resting on old plum tree trunk. Their heads are turned in an interesting pose. They are 10” high (11 ½” high with hard wood base), 2 ¼” wide and 2” in depth. The carvings have a very nice patina. Aside from one hair line crack on the bottom of one of the trees, they are in great condition.

This massive mid or late 19th century white jade (nephrite) carved Ru-Yi scepter is 18 ½” long, 5 ½” wide (from the widest part) and 3” high (from the highest part). The whole scepter was carved from a single piece of nephrite. The carving depicts mythical figures, animals and buildings surrounded by clouds. Aside from some natural flaws in the stone, it is in excellent condition.

This 17th century (Ming Dynasty) blue and white Swatow ware jar is 13” high and 9 ¾” wide. There are four small round loops on the top. The blue glaze artwork depicts a fierce dragon flying through clouds. Judging from its shape, it might have been a wine container at that time. There is one small old repair on the spout. It is in excellent condition.

This early 20th century carved ivory landscape is 10 ½” high, 4 ¼” wide and 3 5/8” thick. The scene depicts a sage riding on a horse followed by a young female maid crossing a bridge. A monkey (probably the legendary “Monkey King”) stands on the top of the mountain. Pine trees, bamboo and plum trees are growing around the mountain and river. There is an honorific mark “Kang Xi” on the bottom. Aside of some the worn colors, it is in excellent condition.

This early 20th century carved coral of lady and two birds mounted as a table lamp is 22” high. The coral lady is 6” high and the embossed brass base is 7” x 7”. The early 20th century celluloid netsuke is 2 1/8” in diameter and 5/8” thick. This kind of netsuke is called “Kagamibuta.” It is shaped like a Manju (round doughnut) but with a metal disc serving as a lid to a shallow bowl. The pressed silver alloy disc has a dragon design. It is in excellent condition.
