This circular jade (nephrite) pendant (or plaque) is 2 ¾” in diameter and 3/16” thick. It is a late 19th century product. It is carved on both sides and depicts a young boy holding a court tablet “Hu.” The boy is riding on a dragon headed carp and is surrounded by lucky clouds. This elegant hand made amethyst and silver bracelet is 6 ½ inches long and 3 quarters of an inch at the widest part. This bracelet is from a collection which we are selling for a retired Hong Kong jeweler. There are four pieces of amethyst which are surrounded by a small butterfly and leaf design. The two ends have larger butterflies and flowers. The workmanship of the wired silver is superb. It is an early 20th century product and it is in great shape. The back has a woven pattern...

Early 20th century Chinese hand-painted porcelain statue depicting a lady holding a scroll of calligraphy. On the bottom, there are two stamps, one is ¡°China¡±; another is a maker¡¯s mark ¡°Made by Deng Rong Chang¡±. There are no chips and cracks. It is in good condition. H: 7 7/8 inches, W: 2 ½ inches

This hand made gold plated cloisonn¨¦ and turquoise bracelet is 7 inches long and half of an inch wide. There are eight turquoise pieces surrounded by a butterfly design. The workmanship is wonderful. Aside from missing one small wire piece on the side, it is in great shape. It is an early 20th century product and is from the collection of a retired Hong Kong jeweler. The back has a woven pattern.

The very well carved young beauty is a 1930’s product. She holds a fan in one hand and a small musical instrument in the other. It is 8 ¾” high (with base is 10 ½” high) 2 ½” wide and 2” thick. There is an old repair on her left hand. Aside from that, it is in great condition.

The Chinese name for this bodhisattva, sitting on a lotus flower which is draped on the back of a lion, is Wenshu (Manjusri). Wenshu was a disciple of the Buddha. Together with the Buddha and fellow disciple Samantabhadra (Chinese name is Puxian who rides on a white elephant) they form the Shakyamuni trinity. Wenshu is associated with wisdom, keen awareness and bravery. This carved ivory Wenshu is 10” high (with base is 11 ½” high), 4 ¾” wide and 1 ¾” thick...

This very nice painted Famille Rose planter is 3 ¼ inches high, 8 3 /4 inches long and 7 inches deep. It is dated 1929. It depicts a water lily and leaf on one side and “Da Juan” style characters around the remaining sides. There is a red maker’s mark on the bottom but it is not readable. Aside from some small chips on the rim, it is in great condition.

This Chinese Famille Rose brush holder is 5” high and 3 11/16” in diameter. It depicts an old sage and his young servant in a garden. The Chinese title of the picture is "Mr. Yuan-Ming admires chrysanthemum blossoms." The date on the side of the brush holder is winter, 1925. The artist’s name is Tu Zhu-Zhung. There is a red maker’s mark on the bottom which says New China Company, Nan-Chang City. It is in excellent condition.

This superb carved bamboo brush holder (or Bitong) is an early 20th century product. It is 7 ¼” high and 5 ¼” wide. It depicts the popular Chinese folk story of Fu, Lu, Shou ( 福祿壽 ). Fu, Lu and Shou are attributes of the good life. They were personified as deities in Chinese culture. Fu is carrying a young child and represents good fortune. Lu is holding a RuYi scepter and represents prosperity. Shou is holding a peach and represents longevity...

There are four identical embroideries in this framed picture. These are early 20th century products. Every piece is about 5 ½ inches by 5 ½ inches. The gold frame is 18 ¼ inches long and 18 inches wide. It depicts five young boys, the one in the center is riding on a Qilin, others are on the corners and holding flowers and fruit in their hands. There are some chips on the frame and small scratches on the plexi-glass, but the embroideries are in good condition.

This old cobalt blue Peking glass necklace is 52” long. The even glass beads are 12 mm. It has been restrung and it is in great condition.

Early 20th century Chinese soap stone brush rest. Carved as a mountain with flowers. Attached stand. Good condition. H: 2 ½ inches, L: 4 ½ inches

This very well carved 20th century Japanese netsuke is 1 ½ inches high, 1 ¼ inches wide and a little more than 1 ¼ inches thick. It depicts a mouse bending over, scratching his chin. It is signed “Shozan”. The carving and polishing are just great and it is in excellent condition.

This 1920~1930 carved glass snuff bottle is 3” high, 2 1/8” wide and 1 1/8” thick. Stylized lion heads have been carved on either side of the ovoid bottle. The green hard stone cap and spoon are new replacements. Aside from some surface wearing and one tiny chip on its rim, it is in great condition.

This 1930’s ivory carpenter is 9 ¼” high, 3 ¼” wide and 3 ¼” thick. It depicts a smiling carpenter carrying a wood bucket and cloth bag on his right arm and holding a saw in his left hand. His tool boxes are set in front of him. The artist’s signature “Gyokushi” is on the bottom. It is a well carved piece in great condition.

This nice horn carving of a vase (or cup) is 4 5/8” high, 2 ¾” wide and 1 ¾” thick. It depicts the theme of “Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove”, Chinese name Zhu Lin Qi Xian (竹 林 七 贤). As is traditionally depicted, the group of seven scholars, musicians and sages wished to escape the intrigues, corruption and stifling atmosphere of the court life during the political chaos of the Three Kingdoms period (220 AD~265 AD)...

This very well carved and polished horn carving of a Zun (Chinese traditional libation wine vessel) is an early or mid - 20th century product. It is 5 ½” high, 6 ½” wide and 3 ½” thick (both measured from the top), the round bottom is 2” in diameter. Twelve stylized Bixie (辟邪) and different ritual bronze patterns were deeply carved into the entire body. The artist’s name is illegibly carved on the bottom. It is in great condition.

This pair of 20th century Chinese carved ivory statues are about 12 ¼” high, 3” wide and 2 ¾” thick. They depict a standing sage and lady. The sage’s left hand carries a stick, a double gourd wine container is tied on the stick. His right hand holds a goose in front of his chest. The lady’s right hand carries a branch of lotus blossom; her left hand holds a lotus shape pouch with a tassel. The marks on the bottom (Da Ming and Kang Xi) are honorable marks...
