A reticulated sterling silver pendant of geometric elements and elongated bale, suspended from an .830 silver chain. Both bear the marks of H.C. Østrem of Drammen; it's very unusual to find a pendant by this maker with its original chain. The script maker's mark also is not often seen. The entire necklace measures15 inches long with the chain doubled, including the 3-inch-long pendant. Weight: 23.6 grams, total

Composed of nine panels with a horizontal raised design on a highly oxidized background. It is marked 925 for sterling silver and has a secure box clasp. The bracelet measures 7 inches long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 20.9 grams

Setting and band composed of layers of silver wire, set with an amber cabochon. The amber shows no wear and is securely bezel-mounted. The outer band exhibits the Poland hallmark for Warsaw and indicates .800 silver content, dating 1963-1986. It also bears the maker’s initials of J.O. The top of the ring measures 1 inch long by ¾ inch wide by ½ inch high. The ring is a size 7 ½.

An irregular shaped piece of amber is mounted in a handmade bezel. The mounting is decorated with hand-applied silver biomorphic protrusions. The bailbears the Krakow mark for .916 silver, with an additional mark indicating added metal, although all of the metal tests as silver. The pendant measures 2 ½ inches long, including the bail and jump ring, and 1 3/8 inches wide.

A clean, modernist design characterizes this ring, which is composed of a graduated rounded sterling band inset with an irregularly shaped piece of teak or rosewood. It mostly likely dates from the late 1960s to mid-1970s. There is an unidentified triangular mark on the outer band. The ring tests strongly for silver, and is probably European. It is sized a 6 1/4. The top is quirkily decorated with pierced geometric shapes, and the cabochon amethyst and citrine are bezel-mounted off-center. The inside of the band is marked 925 for sterling. The ring is 1/16th inch thick; the top of the ring measures just over 1 inch across. It is just over a size 6 ½.

Of flexible and hand-wrought construction with bezel mounted teal ceramic oval pieces at the terminals. The band shows a warm patina with some roughness under the edge near one end. The outer band shows either a partially obscured mark for sterling or a maker’s mark. It has an 8-inch inner circumference, and is 3/16 inch wide.

Pendant composed of the inside of a conch shell that is mounted in wound sterling silver wire. The chain of twisted sterling silver bands is stamped 925 and has a secure pressure hook clasp. Each connecting ring is soldered closed. Clasped, the necklace measures 17 inches long, including the pendant.

A nice studio piece cast as a stylized calla lily leaf that hugs the finger, regardless of which way it is worn. The ring has a warm patina from age. The rounded band bears the maker’s mark of A. Duclos, with other unidentifiable marks that may indicate country. It is a size 6 ½. Weight: 16.3 grams

This delicate pin has a branch-like design formed by lost-wax casting, with a textured surface and applied beads. The oxidized and textured surface has a Brutalist feel. It is marked sterling, with what appears to be a maker’s mark of AR in an oval reserve. The pin has a secure rollover clasp, and measures 2 ¼ inches long by 1 ¼ inches wide. Weight: 8.2 grams

Here is an impressive, hand-constructed pendant of wound thick wire around a square piece of polished spectrolite. The stone has a lovely iridescence, and internal yellowish bands. The pendant is permanently attached to a thick chain that has no clasp; both the chain and pendant are silverplated; the pendant bears the impressed mark of Walter Arnesen, Copenhagen (1968-1973). The entire necklace, including pendant and chain, drops 15 inches.

The handmade pendant is probably German, mid-20th century. It features a cross-hatched, oxidized surface set with two vividly-colored coral half-beads. The back is marked Handarbeit (German for handmade), and bears a partial mark for .835 silver. There are tiny imperfections on the oxidized surface, hardly noticeable, and a product of hand work. The pendant is 2 ¾ inches long including the bail, and 1 ¾ inches wide; it comes with a 1960s sterling silver cable chain measuring 19 inches long, unclasped (not pictured). Decorated with applied abstract elements depicting a plant under the sun and clouds, on a textured surface. The clip has retained its flexibility and shows no metal stress. The back is discolored from old adhesives that have been cleaned off. The back is marked sterling with a capital B, probably a maker’s mark; the work may be Native American. The clip measures 7/8 inch long by ¾ inch wide. Weight: 13.4 grams

The ring exhibits a hammered surface and soft patina from age. It has a wide band that is seamlessly attached to the dome top. The ring is marked serling and tests definitely as such. It is sized at a 7 full; the dome rises about ½ inch. Weight: 13 grams

This quirky and charming bird pin is the work of a talented Peruvian jeweler named Goizueta, of whom very little is known. The pin is set with two pieces of greenish-blue stone known as azurite or chrysocolla. There is some roughness to the edges of the round piece, but it is securely mounted. The pin has a secure rollover clasp and bears the name of T. Goizueta, as well as marks for sterling and Peru. It is quite substantial and measures 1 ¼ inches by 1 ¾ inches.

Dramatically decorated with an embossed and oxidized Celtic design. The inside of the cuff exhibits hammering; it is quite sturdy and has retained its shape. The bracelet shows hardly any signs of wear. It is marked 925 sterling inside the band. It measures 1 ¼ inches wide and the opening measures anbout 1 inch across. It has a 7-inch internal circumference. Weight: 61 grams

The pendant is composed of two hand-wrought flat pieces of sterling silver formed into an oval with three applied silver beads on one side. An irregular-shaped piece of polished moss agate, mounted in a sterling bezel, dangles in the center. The entire pendant is suspended from a substantial sterling chain of forged wire. One of the forged links near the hook clasp bears a crown with a W above; another link is marked with an overstruck W. Two of the links indicate sterling. The necklace measures 13 ½ inches long, clasped. The pendant alone measures 3 3/8 inches long, including the bale, and 2 inches wide.

Composed of cast rectangular double links, this classy bracelet from the 1960s-1970s is sturdy and well made with completely soldered connecting bars. The bracelet has a good heft and a secure, clever clasp with a pressure spring closure. The bracelet is marked for sterling, with a partial mark of ITALY and a double-struck partial sterling mark. The bracelet measures 7 ¾ inches long and a little over ¼ inch wide. Weight: 29.6 grams
