A large Doccia porcelain coffee pot c.1800 with enamel floral decoration.

Late 18th or early 19th century tall porcelain pear shaped coffee pot with a flat lid topped with a pointed knop. The form is typical of Doccia of this period though the hexagonal spout is unusual. On the underside is the incised letter, "P." Otherwise unmarked. A Doccia master salt circa 1770; the molded form is a copy of a silver form. The piece is decorated with red enamel flowers with gilt highlights. Doccia was founded circa 1735 near Florence and continues to produce porcelain. Height is approximately 1 ½ inches (3.8 cm). Length is 3 ¼ inches (7.6cm) and width is 2 5/8 inches (5.1 cm).

Condition: Chipped foot with slight discoloration on foot, otherwise nice.

The master salt is made in an unusual form with bright decoration. Sold

A large double Irish chain pieced quilt with the chain consisting of red squares enclosing yellow ones on a white ground. The back is turned over the top to form the edge. The red border quilted with swags encloses a white border with a running feather wreath. Inside are red saw teeth and then the chains across the field. Cotton seeds visible through the back side. The white squares enclosed by the chain are quilted with a number of different circular motifs...

A sauceboat with attached undertray, handles on either side and spouts at either end. Decorated with hand colored transfer printing and with gilded highlights as well as gilded edges. On the base in green is the printed mark for Kuznetsov porcelain company which owned a number of factories in Russia. Unusual tile of a seated man in a flat cap holding a fishing pole while his wife in a bonnet cap seated beside him looks at him. A charming scene. The tile has tapered sides.5 ¼ inches (13.5 cm) square. ½ inches (1.5 cm thick).

Condition; major old restoration to the upper left corner, similar restoration along the right edge in the column and other very minor chips.

I think this is a fairly rare format with the columns and arch. The figures have a certain humor and art.

A Dutch delft blue and white tile painted on the diagonal showing a tulip in the center with parts of fruits around it as it grows out of ground that would form a star with three other tiles of the same pattern. 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) square. A little less than ½ inch (1 cm) wide. Tapered sides. Wire hanger attached.

Condition: damaged along the upper left edge, part of an old repair and part not repaired. Firing flaw on the right. Small losses on other edges.

A Dutch Delft hand painted wall tile depicting a rabbit pushing off on its hind legs in motion to the left with its ears and tail high. The animal is surrounded by a circle of a wavy line with dots in the wave troughs. Flowers fill the corners. It is 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) square about ½ inch (1.2 cm) tall. A low covered pot with jug ear handles of tin glazed earthenware with underglaze blue decoration on either side and on the top depicting a house near water. These pots were used for soft cheese, sort of like cottage cheese if I understand correctly. The top is loose fitting but the raised lip of the pot fits into a channel in the top. 4 ¼ inches tall by 8 inches across handles. (10 x 20 cm).

Condition: Minor wear to the bottom...

A Dutch delft polychrome hand decorated tile made between 1620 and 1650 depicting a double handled vase containing three orange flowers that fit into the space on the tile between the large painted corners. The colors are blue, orange and green. 4 ½ inches (11.5 cm) square. ½ inch (1.5 cm) wide. Tapered sides. Glued on hanger a late addition.

Condition: chips to the corners, especially the upper left one which shows part of an old repair, Old repair in the upper right corner. Some losses...

A Dutch delft heart shaped strainer on three short pointed feet and with attached handles at either end. Old Pat Guthman Antiques label on the base with the price of $550. 3inches (7.5 cm) tall, 5 inches (12.5 cm) wide and 7 ½ (19 cm)inches long.

Condition: Minor glaze chips, a small chip to the body on the underside and part of one foot missing. Good condition for the age and the softness of tin glazed earthenware.

A very nice shape for a strainer. SOLD

An earthenware transfer printed in colors plate with a floral border and the scene of a young woman riding a donkey sidesaddle while another well dressed woman stands by. The number “8” appears in a small cartouche above the scene and the title, “Promeade á âne.” The mark on the back seems unreadable, but looks just like an impressed mark for the French manufacturer Montereau and the date of around 1850 is maybe a little late but about right. 8 inches (20.3 cm) diameter.

A hard paste porcelain cup and saucer with gilding of lyres with arrows supporting swags. Two panels on the saucer and one on the cup displaying in differently toned gilding elaborate outdoor scenes with people, buildings, trees and other details. Unmarked, but likely Minton, soft paste porcelain covered sauce tureen "Feuille de choux" pattern with a rose finial. These knock-offs of 18th century Sevres were popular from the mid-19th century (c.1850)onward and Minton made many very good ones. With the lid it is 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) tall, 7 1/4 inches (18.4 cm) long, and 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide.

An English creamware mug probably either Yorkshire or Staffordshire elaborately decorated with a brown body on which is painted in green black and yellow a very stylized house with fences and trees all within a yellow band at the foot and the lip. The squared off handle is also yellow. The shape of the handle leads to the fairly late date. 4 ¾ inches (12 cm) tall and 5 5/8 inches across the handle (14.2 cm).

A large, heavily potted English pitcher with an applied strap handle. All of the strong floral decoration is handpainted except for the blue flowers which where the paint was stamped on with a cut sponge. Though it could be earlier the later date of circa 1880 is conservative. 7 3/8 inches tall, 9 ¼ inches across the handle.

Condition: Handle broken and restuck, glaze chips on the spout, firing flaw on the bottom, crazing, glaze chips on the spout and minor spots.
