A collection of five small Thai stoneware vessels with different glazes - Si Satchanalai or Sawankhalok kiln. Two vases with small handles and three jarlets, with celadon or brown glaze. Condition: large brown vase with a firing crack at one handle, the gourd shaped bottle with restoration to the handles, small brown jarlet with rim chips. Dimension: tallest: 11.7 cm. A large wooden Christian cross with beautiful lotus and vines decoration inlaid in engraved mother of pearl, originating from Macau, Vietnam or Southern China. Rearside with paper label. Crosses such as this example would have served in the teaching of the Bible in East Asia. Condition: partially chipped rims, center with restaured area (please see photo no. 7). Dimension: c. 60.5 cm x 32.5 cm x 1.9 cm.

Three rectangular differently sized and slightly convex silver plaques with floral decoration in blue enamel. Attached to a traditional silk and gold thread cord with adjustable sliding knot. From an old Swiss collection. Dimension of amulets: 9 cm x 7.5 cm and approx. 5.8 cm x 4.7 cm, cord c. 100 cm long, weight: 132 g. Condition: two amulets with default to lugs, enamel with partial losses.

A Nepalese dagger used in Shamanic and Buddhist rituals, carved from wood with a glossy patina. The handle section in the shape of a vajra with endless knots and three faces, the blade trigonal. Condition: traces of usage. Dimension: 21.1 cm long.

A rare writing box made of papier-maché with polychrome and gold decoration under a lacquer varnish showing different Hindu gods as Hanuman, Krishna etc. Condition: traces of usage, wear, lacquer and further small losses, some cracking. Dimension: c. 28.5 x 9.5 x 7.7 cm.

A fine Balinese hardwood carving showing the Hindu god Ganesha with his typical elephant head seated on a raised lotus throne. Condition: fine, a bit dusty. Dimension: c. 25.3 cm high, 8 cm deep. For a close depiction please visit the statue TM-15-171 in the "Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam". Collected in situ by a Dutch family in the 1st half of the 20th C.

Of circular form with a domed cover having a small elephant as knob. The exterior decorated in repousse with four mythological dancers in lobed cartouches between scrolling foliage. Condition: fine. Dimension: 10.6 cm high, diameter: 7.1 cm, weight: 180 g.

Nicely carved Chinese agate group showing two birds on a rock with flowers. Dating to mid 20th century. With matching wooden stand. Condition: base of the carving with a tiny flake (not visible), right bird's beak with a tiny chip (see photo No. 11). A square cover or shawl made of shiny purple silk beautifully embroidered with birds, flowers, butterflies and tendrils. The long fringes multi-colored. With light blue silk lining. Condition: fine, lining with one hole. Dimension without fringes: 151 cm x 151 cm.

Small Indian bronze, cast in one piece depicting Vishnu standing on a Lotus base. The four-armed Hindu god is holding the conch and the chakra. Karnataka / Maharashtra. Condition: fine, few traces of usage, patina. Dimension: 17.8 cm high.

A man's cloth or beti by the Atoin meto people from West Timor, woven in three parts and sewn together lengthways. In the middle an antromorph pattern in warp ikat, both ends with fringes. Condition: good, faded, some stains. Dimension without fringes: 173 cm x 108 cm.

A kneeling fish seller beholding his coop with huge fishes. The earthenware figure painted in polychrome colors, the skin areas in matt glaze orange. Condition: Good. Dimensions: 10,7 cm high x 9,5 cm wide. Weight: 302 gram.

Iconic ornament worn by the people of West Sumba island in eastern Indonesia. This particular mamuli type is called "pewisie", the motifs at the bottom are stylized horse heads. Silver tested. Original woodblock print by Clifton Karhu (1927 - 2007) titled “To†depicting a head of a tiger. The print is pencil-signed, titled, dated 71 and numbered 13/100 at the bottom of the circular image. Printed on very thin paper. Condition: fine impression and color, slightly creased. Dimension: 30.7 cm x 32 cm.

Not complete. A very rare document on Chinese porcelain in French, published by A. Morel in 1881, first edition. Reference book with 227 pages and 30 heliogravures and chromolithographs and more than 120 illustrations in the text. Large quarto pages loose in portfolio, pages uncut. Condition: not complete, the Nos. XXXI and XXXII of the heliogravures and chromolithographs are missing, so are the text pages 113 to 120. Some foxing on pages. Dimension: c. 38 cm x 29 cm.

Composite panel of antique Ottoman embroideries, made into a rectangular shaped woman’s prayer cloth indicating qibla, the direction of prayer. Made in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and silver wrapped threads, crocheted together. Two patches with a kind of floral needle weaving. Bordered with a green ribbon and later lining. Condition: stained and flawed areas, missing threads, faded. Dimension: 159.5 cm x 98 cm.

Burgundy red velvet ground with the design of a mosque with minarets below a tughra. Padded embroidery in couched metal thread. Condition: doubtless a fragment, the basic fabric sewn together, the metal threads with patina and some missing and loose ones. Dimension: 35 cm x 33 cm.
