Three old or antique Indonesian dance masks, showing three different characters. The dark red mask from Java and the two others from Bali. Carved from wood, painted and decorated with fur. Condition: some chips and wear, one with small losses. Dimension: c. 18 to 20 cm long x c. 13.5 cm wide.

Three Chinese Export flat plates from the Kangxi period. Decorated with the "100 antiques" motif in the Imari palette and gold. The rim in underglaze dark brown. Condition: minor wear to gold. Two plates with few tiny rim frits and flakes and with total 3 rim chips (see picture 10). Dimension: diameter: 22.5 cm.

A set of three finely executed paintings in gouache and ink, on embossed paper by the British manufacturer Henry Dobbs. Showing different plants and butterflies. Mounted in later red lacquered wooden frames. Dimension: paintings: c. 23.5 cm x 17.3 cm, frames: c. 29.1 cm x 35.4 cm. Condition: fine, frames with some wear. A pair joss-stick holders with Buddhist lions standing on a leave-shaped base and a single one with wooden stand. Made of biscuit porcelain and glazed in the "sancai" palette. Dating to the Kangxi period (1662-1722). Condition: the balls of the male lions are lost, both with small restorations, the bulging eyes of the beasts with glue residues, one lion with small flake on the tail. Dimension: pair height: c. 10.1 cm, single one: c. 15.5 cm high.

Three Chinese snuff bottles made of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue, one with little underglaze red accentuations. The small one decorated with fishes among seaweed, the stopper made of jade-imitating glass. The cylindrical bottles painted with a court scene or deers in a landscape, the stoppers made of tiger eye stone. All have bone spoons. A Thai cast bronze figure of the crowned Buddha Shakyamuni, with serene facial features, holding his hands in dhyana mudra. Condition: no base, later added core material. Dimension: 16.4 cm high x 9.6 cm wide x 4.1 cm deep.

A spherical Sumatran lime box beautifully cast in bronze or brass with patina, decoration showing stylized lotus pod bud. Betel nut chewing accessory, the interior with lime residue, two piercings. A hanging lamp of rounded form with lower domed section, decorated with engraved panels of persons, beasts and calligraphy between swirling pierced flowers. Condition: rim with small restored area, few tiny dents. Dimension: burner: c. 23.8 cm high, diameter: c. 14.2 cm, total height: c. 45 cm.

Cylindrical container made of brass with a domed cover and decorated base both close fitting. With engraved decoration in horizontal bands, the widest with eight medallions each containing a figure at leisure. Its function is not obvious, maybe an ink pot (davat) or a container for tobacco or spices. From an old Swiss collection. Condition: good, few tiny dents. Dimension: 7.5 cm high, diameter: 4.2 cm, weight: 80 g.

A small box made of wood or papier-maché with hinged lid. Painted decoration under a lacquered varnish, showing the rose and nightingale motif "gul-u-bulbul". Provenance: a gentleman's collection, Geneva - Switzerland. Condition: traces of usage, the varnish is very glossy, lid slightly bent (please look at the photos carefully, they make part of the condition report). Dimension: c. 11.7 cm x 4.4 cm x 2.5 cm.

A fine Japanese incense burner, made of wood with pierced gilt copper lid, the interior with copper lining. On a black lacquer ground slightly raised decoration showing a landscape with rockwork and trees in different gold lacquer techniques. Condition: please look at the photos carefully, traces of age and usage, few small lacquer losses, rim with two cracks, lid slightly distorted. Dimension: c. 8.4 cm high, c. 4.8 cm long and wide.

Small Indian mask cast in bronze or brass, finely engraved. Depicting the crowned head of a male deity with bulging eyes and moustache. Karnataka / Maharashtra c. 19th century. From a Swiss lady's private collection. Condition: fine. Dimension: 12 cm high x 12 cm wide x 8.5 cm deep.

A copper "gau" prayer box, the lid with chased Kalachakra mantra. Inside a fine "tsakli" painting on canvas in colors and gold, depicting the deity "Green Tara", sitting on a lotus throne. The fitted tsakli is removable and with no inscription on the backside. Condition: painting little rubbed, gau interior with some verdigris. Dimension: gau: 9.5 x 11.3 x 3.2 cm, height tsakli: c. 8.5 cm.
