A blossom shaped porcelain plate asymmetrically decorated with fruits, flowers and birds above bonsai scissors, in underglaze blue, white, green and gold. The base with blue auspicious character mark. Brown glazed rim. Condition: some wear to gold. Dimension: diameter 21.6 cm and 3.6 cm high.

A repoussed Persian tinned copper bowl. The etched and engraved decoration with a lovely scene comprising shepherds, camels and so on. Base with maker's mark. Condition: some traces of usage, rubbing to tinning. Dimension: diameter: 16.6 cm, 7.7 cm high.

A small pair of Chinese biscuit porcelain vases with moulded decoration of the eight Chinese immortals amidst clouds, painted in the "famille noire" palette. Mouth and base without glaze. Condition: fine. Dimension: c. 13 cm high.

A rectangular pouch made of sewn together termeh wool weaves with boteh motif. Decorated with gold braids and raised embroidery in couched metal lamellae. Silk lining. A silver milk jug with coriander-leaf design and a cartouche in shield form, probably from Kutch. Unmarked, tested silver. Condition: small area with no design (photo no. 7), handle slightly bent. Dimension: 8.8 cm high, weight: 130 g.

Bulbous copper body with floral decoration in polychrome enamels. Originating from Syria. Condition: base with a small repair, three areas with losses of the enamel. Dimension: 17.5 cm high, diameter: 21 cm, weight: 1060 g.

A pair Chinese silver spill vases made for the Western export or used in the Chinese market as incense stick holders. Decorated with prunus twigs, standing on three splayed feet with original clear glass inserts. Base with maker's mark "WH90", standing for the Wang Hing Company, working in Shanghai and Hong Kong around 1900. Condition: fine, few traces of usage, one insert seems to be a bit too long. Dimension: c. 11.6 cm high, weight of silver: 90 g.

The copper base was first engraved with special tools to create the design in relief, the grooves were later filled with glass and then embellished with additional engraving and wonderful shiny gilding. This technique is called in India "meena" or "meenakari" and was first applied by the Mughal. Condition: fine, only one rim with a small dent and minor wear to gilding. Two with monochrome silk or cotton lining, the comb's pouch lined with printed cotton "qalamkar", this one with a later snap closure. Composite panel of antique Ottoman embroideries, made into a rectangular shaped woman’s prayer cloth indicating qibla, the direction of prayer. Made in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and silver wrapped threads, crocheted together. Two patches with a kind of floral needle weaving. Bordered with a green ribbon and later lining. Condition: stained and flawed areas, missing threads, faded. Dimension: 159.5 cm x 98 cm.

A large wooden Christian cross with beautiful lotus and vines decoration inlaid in engraved mother of pearl, originating from Macau, Vietnam or Southern China. Rearside with paper label. Crosses such as this example would have served in the teaching of the Bible in East Asia. Condition: partially chipped rims, center with restaured area (please see photo no. 7). Dimension: c. 60.5 cm x 32.5 cm x 1.9 cm.

Rectangular photo or picture frame with carved sandalwood top. Decorated with Sadeli micro mosaic in bone, metal and different woods. Old glass. Condition: very few missing inlays, one clip lost. Dimension: 22.5 cm x 14.8 cm, image: 15.8 cm x 10.1 cm.

An antique Persian seal or weight, made from bronze or brass, both sides engraved with Islamic script. From an old Swiss collection. Condition: traces of usage. Dimension: 2.1 cm x 2.1 cm x 0.7 cm.

Burgundy red velvet ground with the design of a mosque with minarets below a tughra. Padded embroidery in couched metal thread. Condition: doubtless a fragment, the basic fabric sewn together, the metal threads with patina and some missing and loose ones. Dimension: 35 cm x 33 cm.

An elegant double-bell shaped Indian spitoon made of zinc alloy, decorated with poppy motifs, inlaid in silver. Condition: few inlay losses (see first and photo No. 11 and 12). Dimension: c. 15.3 cm high, diameter: c. 12.1 cm, weight: 1020 g.
