A baby carrier belt made of indigo dye cotton for warp and washi (Japanese handmade paper) yarn for weft. It is made in Shonai region in Yamagata district in Tohoku. Cotton cloth with kasuri Yabane (plume) pattern which is handwoven and vegetable indigo dye. Warps look machine spun but wefts are hand-spun yarn. It has very thick texture, probably domestically handwoven. The first half of the 20th century. 148cm x 136cm

Yuki boshi (snow hat), or yuki kabuto (snow helmet) made of Obana, or Yamagaya (Japanese pampas) and cotton yarn for decoration. It has belts made of indigo dye and hand spun cotton inside. In good condition except for some wear in the decorative yarn. The first half of the 20th century. W:48cm, L:48cm

Wood board used by a "nushi", a lacquer-ware artisan in charge of lacquering urushi. It has natural dripping and dried glue(natural) while lacquering. Both sides are beautiful. In good condition. The first half of the 20th century. 9.5cm x 91cm x 0.9cm

Shonai obi (sash) hand-woven of cotton for warps and paper yarn for wefts. It is made in Shonai region in Yamagata prefecture in Tohoku district.
