A hand signed example of the print "Edgartown" (Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts) by noted contemporary Cape Cod and the Islands artist KATHY O'NEIL. The work is numbered 111/350 at lower left margin and is hand signed by the artist at lower right margin. O'NEIL works in the popular naive, folk art tradition that can be traced back to Ralph Cahoon. Popular subjects are mostly scenes of the Cape, Nantucket, or Martha's Vineyard...

By the important bi-coastal art pottery makers and teachers VIVIKA and OTTO HEINO, a large ceramic pot, 11 3/4" diameter by 10 3/4", signed in the wet clay underneath VIVIKA + OTTO, and dated there with what appears to be "70" or "90". The beautiful pot is of a beautiful gentle color, and blaze glaze design makes for a simple and elegant work indeed. Unfortunately the pot was damaged somewhat before it came into my possession---there is a chip at the top on the black lip...

For the decoy collector or outdoors enthusiast here is a contemporary work, beautifully and sensitively hand painted with amazing detail in the feathering. The bird measures at the extreme dimensions about 17" by 7" by 13". Made of plaster, it is a most realistic work. The webbing of the feet, the delicate breast feathers----all details were most carefully attended to by the artist, MARK YOUNG. There is mention of him online but information is limited.
