A very rare nicely moulded vase with a long ribbed neck that flares to a hexafoil rim. The hexagonal body is moulded with bands of flowers. The lower band has alternating patterns of lotus flowers and lotus leaves. There are two lion masks at opposite sides at the shoulder. The vase is covered in a light olive-grey glaze. Period: Yuan - 13th/14th Century Size: Height = 14.4 cm (5-11/16 inches) Condition: Tiny barely noticeable chip at the rim of the mouth otherwise perfect.

A very rare white porcelain Song qingpai ewer with a clear pale bluish glaze. The body and shoulder of the vase have skillfully executed free-flowing scraffiato designs of florals and leaves. The tall cylindrical neck is encircled at the base by two horned dragons whose heads meet at the spout. The grooved loop handle is further decorated with eight small balls. A very unusual & original Han well with the "jing" design, symbol for well and two intertwined snakes for the handle. There is some iridescence at the bottom of the base of the green glaze from age. Green glaze was used to make it look like bronze. Size: H. 30.5cm W.16cm. Condition: Very small repair on the underside of the rim, otherwise in very good condition. See photo.

An unusual shaped dish with a sparrow, berry sprig and chrysanthemums.The inside has the typical aqua blue glaze. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware.
