An unusual Tang pottery of a standing dwarf wearing a robe and hat painted in original orange pigments. He has a stocky figure and a sweet countenance on his downward tilt head. He is full of character. Figures such as these are considered a symbol of good luck and are not easy to find.

Period: Tang (618-907 AD)

A very rare a beautiful micro necklace made of micro ceramic and glass beads from the very early Pyu Dynasty. Condition: Very good. Size: 29m X 2 or 23 inches end to end.

An old Tibetan ladies purse made of Yak leather and inlaid with silver and gilt carvings with a center piece of Turquoise. The front has carvings of two fish (representing the beginning of life)and flower design. The back has a center tree design. There is a silver woven chain attached to the top for carrying. A very rare pair of ironwood chairs also know as Tieli mu. Ironwood has been used with huanghuali items since the Ming Dynasty. In all the years that I have been collecting Chinese furniture, this is the only pair of ironwood chairs I have come across. Ironwood is usually been confused with jichimu. A six sided Nyonya plate with a peach and ten Buddhist symbols for good luck with the Tonzhi (1862-1864)stamp and of the period. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware.
