A beautiful authentic Western Han pottery cocoon jar in the shape of a silkworm cocoon. The outer surface is embellished with the original painted abstract banding and scrolling designs in pigments of dark and light brick reds, grey blue, and white. Size: H. 28cm.L. 31cm. Authentic Han stove with green glaze and original wok. Han stoves usually have items of food and cooking items on top of the stove. Size: 22cm X 16cm X 16cm Condition; Some age cracks and some loss of the glaze from long burial.

An authentic large and beautiful original green glazed Han vase (hu) with monkeys, lions, wild boars, rabbits, riders on horse back and some strange human and animal type creatures. Age: Han Dynasty 206BC - 220AD Size: H. 32.5cm W. 28cm. Condition. Very good. No repairs.

A rare jade archer,s ring, which to me is the actual archers ring used with the bow and arrow rather then the better know thumb ring which is more a piece of jewelry. It was used on the thumb, that's where the "thumb ring" comes from and more than likely on a gloved hand due to the size. See the last three photos of a similar one in a Chinese jade book. A well carved small jade disc of a Han dragon in two colors. The back is carved with a stylized cloud motif. Size: Diameter. 2.5cm. Condition: No repairs.

A Han bird of an attractive translucent green jade with dark green 'peppery' streaked inclusions. Its squarish stylized shape is both simple and pleasing to the eye. It has an hole for stringing as a pendant..

Size: Height = 2.2 cm x Width = 2 cm

Condition: Very good. There's a little roughness at the edge of one wing from age but it is not a break.

Han Jade pendant with two connecting holes on each end. The front has the carving of two stylized Phoenix Birds and the back with carvings of cloud motifs.The phoenix was commonly referred to as the "King of Birds." A supernatural bird, it embodied the five virtues of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and sincerity., "When the dragon soars and the phoenix dances, the people will enjoy happiness for years, bringing peace and tranquility to all under heaven."Size: L.5cm. A stone carved Han lion scratching his ear used as a weight. These weights were used to hold down the corners of tents and other tied down items.The ropes were tied to the leg that is scratching the ear. Size: L.20cm. W. 9.5cm.Condition: No repairs. Normal wear.

A six sided Nyonya bowl with three "gold" fish and sea plants for good luck. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Nonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: 15cm. H. 5.6cm. Condition: No repairs or chips. Some wear on the inside of the bowl.

A very rare Chinese veneer huanghuali cabinet with the original marble inserts. The back of the cabinet still has the original fiber coating that was used during the Ming and early Ching Dynasties. This cabinet was most likely made during the transitional period from Ming to Ching. Age: Early 18th Century Size: H.189cm W. 126cm D. 63cm Condition: All original. The drawers are probably a replacement. Normal wear.

A rare huanghuali wood Chinese "violin" called an erhu. The main body and neck are carved from a single piece of huanghuali wood, its top stretched with snake skin of beautiful patterning. The bottom of the main body has a sound hole with an openwork carving of a stylized "shou" character meaning longevity (this bottom panel is a separate piece of huanghuali)...

A very rare round tea stand made of huanghuali with an insert burl wood top by a round stretcher and the splay legs ended in "Lin Zi" head feet. Age: Early 19th century.

A beautifully colored mottled nephrite jade disc (sword-pommel) in colors of cream, rust and grey. In the center is a small hole encircled by flower petals. A double-lined rim borders the outer rim of the petals. A band of C-curl patterns extend to the double-lined outer rim. The surface of reverse side has a couple of cleavage planes natural to the stone. Size: Diameter: 2-3/16" Condition: No chips or repairs.

A pale celadon (off-white) Chinese jade of a cat reclining on a single, slightly curved leaf. The back of the leaf is carved with the leaf's venation. It is a delicate piece that has a hole carved at the top of the leaf enabling it to be used as a pendant. Size: L.5cm, W.3cm.

A nicely carved jade cicada of the Hongshan Culture.The cicada has a bulky square body with stylized wings a ridged forehead and large well rounded eyes. Size: L.4.8cm, W. 2.0cm

A pendant with a good luck symbol on one side and an interesting cat face design on the other. Size: W. 5.5cm. L. 3.8cm.
