Chinese nephrite jade mythical animal of a light celadon green with inclusions natural to the stone. The form is plump from its body to its limbs. The view from the bottom shows rounded legs with nicely carved claws on each paw. Size: L.5.5cm (2 inches) W. 3cm (1.18 inches)

A rare Ironwood (Tieli) clapper with three beautiful pieces. The two inner clappers are tied together for sound. The sound of the wooden clappers sets the rhythm of the music as well as some of the actions of the performers. Age: 19th century. Size:L.27cm. Width at the widest point is 2.5cm. A healthy, plump, round & gentle-faced, "Kintaro" doll holding a lively carp (also considered a symbol of strength and good luck). In folklore, Kintaro grows up to become a famous warrior. He represents the wishes of parents to have a brave, strong, yet gentle son. Size H: 23 cm W: 13.5 cm. Period: Early Taisho. Condition: Some wearing off of pigment on fish. An elegantly hand-crafted cloisonne obidome of a double-gourd form. The burgundy-colored glass enamelling of the gourd is thickly applied and translucent. The cobalt blue "rope" around gourd has pure gold highlights. Can be used as a pendant. Size: L. 5cm. W. 3cm. Condition: No repairs.

A creamy white jade "bi" pendant with natural mottled brown and amber coloration. The shape is not a flat disc (bi) but of a rounded disc shape and comes with a blue glass melon bead. The jade has very attractive, complex patterns and a beautiful patina that has developed through time. Size: Width 5 cm - 2 inches

An unusual-shaped Kutani vase with panels of birds and landscapes on a background scrolling tendrils surrounded by a thickly applied blue-green glaze. All symbols (phoenixes, birds, chrysanthemums, etc.) are symbols of good luck, strength, and prosperity. The stamp on the bottom is a "Fuku" character which means wealth and good luck. Age: 1900 or earlier. Size: H. 16cm. W. 12cm. Condition: No repairs, chips, or breaks.

Condition: Very good. There's a little roughness at the edge of one wing from age but it is not a break.

A Rare Green glazed pair of Foo Lions joss stick holders from the Ming Dynasty. Joss sticks are incense on sticks and burned in religious ceremonies usually placed along side of Buddha. Size: H. 13.2cm. Condition: No repairs. Some minor small chips due to age.
