A very rare carved wooden Buddha dating back to the 15th century or before. Size: H. 26.5cm. Condition: Natural ageing. The right hand is missing and a portion of the base has worn away.

A very well executed Ming stone weight depicting a strange youth guiding a mythical beast.The stone itself is unusual in that is very hard and veined with two colors. A very unique piece and a true work of art. It is my understanding that these weights were used for pressing paper. Size: Base. 28.3 x 28.3cm. H. 14.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Some minor old chips around the edges and the horn on the animal might have been filed a little long ago.

A beautiful quadratic prism shaped translucent brown jade with two ring carved on each end. The jade is strung with three old Chinese beads. Age; Song or earlier Size: 3.4 x 2.1cm. Condition: No chips.

A nicely carved mythical beast or cute animal in the recumbent position. There is a hole through the mouth for hanging. As for the age, I will date it as a Song piece, but it could also be from the Southern & Northern Dynasties. It is hard to date jade as many Dynasties copied from past dynasties. Size: L. 5cm. A very rare and unusual seal of a mythical animal made of pottery. Age; Ten Kingdoms. Size: H. 5.2cm. W. 3.5 x 3.5cm. Condition: Some loss of the white slip and a chip on the horn.

A beautiful red glass bead necklace made from a court official's rank necklace. Made from very high quality matching glass beads. Most of these rank necklaces were broken apart during the cultural revolution. Size: 34cm folded. Bead size: 1cm. Condition: Very good. No chips etc.

A rare, large and beautifully carved scholar's item made of huanghuali and carved with flower vases and a censer as the center piece, with the original hardware.The outer frame could be huanghuali or huali. It is unusual to find these wall decorations in huanghuali. Size: L. 86cm. W. 35cm Age: Late Ming, early Ching piece. Condition: No repairs. A bentwood bamboo bracelet with a silver work band of a floral design. The two knots in the bamboo have carved stylized dragons. Age: Early 1900's. Size: Diameter. Inside 7.3cm. Outside 8.8cm. Condition: Very good.No repairs.

A pear-shaped vase freely painted with foliate designs in a dark chocolate brown glaze over a white slip. The slightly flared footrim is also painted in dark chocolate brown. Comes with a certificate from an auction in Beijing. Period: Song (10th Century) Size: Height = 22.5 cm (8-7/8") Condition: A very small chip at the foot-rim.

A globular bodied vase painted in dark reddish brown on a white slip. The main body has three large sprays of flowers. A large brown band encircles the shoulder and below the floral sprays are several thin bands - some straight and some wavy. Typical of this type. Period: Song (10th - 11th Century) Size: Height 25 cm Width 20 cm.

A ewer with an greyish-olive toned glaze that covers all but the foot and base. The mouth is trumpet-flared and the 3-lobed rim of the mouth is trimmed in silver (see photos). The grooved strap handle is typical of Song items .

Condition: Tiny firing separation at the base of the spout (not a crack).

A black and white recumbent jade dog from the Song Dynasty. Size: L. 5cm. W. 2.8cm. H. 1.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Some of polish has been lost through age.
