This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1940. It has date markings indicating this year. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches.The cup is 2 1/4 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The cup features a pedestal base and unique handle. The cup and saucer are signed by the artist E. Townsend. Luscious looking fruits are brilliantly hand painted on both pieces. The well of the saucer, interior of the cup and handle are gilded. It is an fine example of Worcester’s artistry. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

This set of 10 porcelain soup cups and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1925. The date ciphers on the bottom indicate that year. They were made especially for the retailer Marshall Field of Chicago. All of the pieces are artist signed by renowned Worcester painters. Two of them are E. Phillips and A. Freeman. The saucers have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 inches high not counting the handles. The interiors of the cups and wells of the saucers have reserves with realistic, brightly colored flowers. The borders, which are 1 1/2 inches wide, are a deep crimson red. They are overlaid with elaborate gilding. These bouillon cups and saucers are elegant and would be wonderful for display. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland, c. 1850. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 5/8 inches high. The set is made of fine translucent bone china. Both pieces have decorations molded in the porcelain. These decorations are accented with ornate gilding. There are hand painted garlands of tiny flowers and foliage. The flowers are so life-like, only in miniature. There are cream colored borders trimmed with elaborate gilding. The rims and distinctive handle are trimmed with gold. This is truly a Victorian delight. Condition: The saucer has clean, light crazing. It is not distracting. It is otherwise in excellent condition.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Shelley before 1950. The numbers 1301/101 are on the bottom. This may be a pattern identification. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is fine, white bone china. The cup is can shaped. The set has an overlay of gilding which covers all of the white area on each piece. It is reminiscent of chintz. The pattern is raspberry vines with flowers and berries, accented with raised enamel. There are borders of cranberry colored enamel trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1878. The date letters in the mark indicate this year. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The saucer is shaped and molded like a lily pad and the cup is the flower. The porcelain is smooth and creamy imitating ivory. The decoration is Japanese inspired. There are hand gilded butterflies, a heron bird, branches and foliage. Three colors of gold are used and it is all embossed so that you can feel the texture. This splendid cup and saucer has unique detail and design you would expect from such a prestigious manufacturer as Royal Worcester. Condition: The handle has a thin line of gilding that has slight wear. There are different colored marks on each piece showing a 2 year difference in production. This is not uncommon for earlier Worcester cups and saucer.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Doulton around 1900. It was a special order for the department store, J.E. Caldwell & Co. of Philadelphia. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. It is made of fine, white bone china. The name of the garden is “Hampton Court”. The scenes are hand painted with vibrant colors. It is signed by the artist, J. Price. A band of embossed gilding frames both pieces. There is some slight wear in the well of the saucer. This cup and saucer is in otherwise excellent condition.

The porcelain is very fine bone china. It is hand painted with sprays of brightly colored flowers. There is a cobalt blue border decorated with elaborate gold designs. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by George Jones in 1850. There is a registry mark indicating this year. The set is made of fine, white bone china. The cup features a futuristic looking handle Jones often used. The set is decorated with vibrantly colored, hand painted asters and foliage. The vivid colors contrast beautifully against the white porcelain. The rims are trimmed with dentil gilding. Condition: There is a bit of wear to the edge of the saucer that keeps this set from being excellent. Given its age, it is very minor.

The set has a wonderful scarlet red ground color. It is decorated with embossed gold medallions and gilded swags. The rims have wide embossed gold borders. It is an elegant set that was produced especially for the retailer Davis & Collimore of New York. Condition: The saucer has light crazing in the glaze on the underside. There are no other imperfections. Note: The spots in some of the photos are not imperfections in the cup and saucer but result from the photography.

It would be within the Edwardian period. The saucer has a diameter of 4 7/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The set is made of fine, translucent bone china. There are gilded laurel leaves accented with white raised enamel beads on cobalt blue bands around the rims of each piece. Garlands of green leaves are dotted with tiny pink roses. The decoration is all hand painted. There is even a band of flowers running around the inside rim of the cup. Condition: Excellent

The set is made of translucent bone china. The cup has a puffy, quatrefoil shape with a handle that looks like rope. The set is decorated with an Imari type pattern taken from the Japanese. Cobalt blue and rust colored red are the main colors in the floral and geometric design. Much gold is used in the decoration and trim. Condition: Excellent

The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is decorated with wide bands of heavily embossed gilding. There are borders of hand gilded scroll work with raised beading. It is the epitome of elegance. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Doulton before 1920. The saucer is 4 1/2 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is decorated with swags of tiny rose buds. The surface of the cup and saucer is covered with tiny pale green enamel beads reminiscent of Coalport. There is gold trim on the handle and rims of each piece. There is some wear to the thin gold band around the bottom of the cup. It is in otherwise excellent condition.

The set is made of fine, white bone china. The cup is melon ribbed and blown out. The saucer has a scalloped rim. The ground color is rich cobalt blue. It is decorated with elaborate raised gold decorations. Gilded swags and raised gold beads accent the design. The interior of the cup, well of the saucer and handle are richly gilded. This is truly an product of the “Gilded Age”. Condition: Excellent, with just a trace of wear to gilding, hardly noticeable. Both pieces “ring” when tapped.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Spode around 1800. The saucer is 5 5/8 inches in diameter and it is 1 1/2 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The cup has the London shape. The ground color is a soft pink. There are reserves inside the cup and around the saucer containing colorfully hand painted birds. They are reminiscent of bird decorations done by the Derby factory. They are encased in gilded cartouches. These alternate with segments of intricate gilding. Condition: There is slight wear to the gilding in the well of the saucer and traces of wear around the rim. This cup and saucer is in amazing condition for its age. Both pieces ring when tapped.

The plate measures 5 5/8 inches square, the saucer measures 4 3/4 inches square and the cup is 2 5/8 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. The set is interesting in that it is square in shape. It is decorated with cobalt blue borders that have raised enamel beading. There is fancy gold trim and light blue panels at the bottom of the cup and in the well of the saucer. The set displays a formal elegance. Condition: There is slight crazing on the bottom of the cup. It is otherwise in excellent condition.
