This set of 6 porcelain plates were made in France in the mid 19th century. The may have been made by a Paris porcelain decorator. The plates have a diameter of 9 5/8 inches. They are made of fine hard paste porcelain. The rims are scalloped. They are decorated in the Sevres style and have the crossed L’s under glaze. The decoration is completely hand painted. There is bright royal blue trim and ornaments. Garlands of peach colored roses encircle the plate. There are gilded medallions around the rims. These plates are quite special and wonderfully decorative. Only one plate is pictured but the set includes 6 plates. Condition: There is light surface wear and some stacking wear. The gilding is all intact and they are very good for their age. Pd VOT

This porcelain jewel casket was produced in France in the mid-19th century. The style is very similar to porcelain from the Sevres factory. It is unmarked therefore we cannot specifically identify the maker. There are artist’s initials in the painting. It measures 7 inches long, 4 1/4 inches high and 4 inches wide. The porcelain has molded decorations in the rococo style. The sides are blown out and puffy and the casket sits on four feet. The ground color of the casket is cobalt blue. There are three reserves framed in ornate raised gold. The top is a formal garden with lovers by a lake. The other scenes are landscapes. There are two sides that are cobalt blue with gilded trophies. The interior has the remnants of silk lining. The box has gilt bronze mounts and latch. This is a jewel of a casket. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain charger was produced in France by Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehmen Limoges in the 1890s. The charger was hand painted by a professional artist and is signed on the front. The back has double underglaze markings from the factory. The charger is 15 1/2 inches in diameter. It is pierced for hanging and retains wiring for hanging. The decoration is exceptional in subject and execution. There are figures of three ladies, one sitting in a sedan chair. There is so much detail and the painting is brilliantly colored. It has a rococo border painted in heavy gold. A charger of this size is difficult to find. It is a truly one-of-a-kind treasure. Condition: Excellent

This set of 6 plates was produced in England by Royal Doulton in the late 19th century. They are signed by the artist, Joseph Hancock. They measure 8 7/8 inches in diameter. They are made of excellent quality bone china. The rims are scalloped. Each plate has a bird, hand painted with fine detail in its natural habitat. No white shows through. The painting and cream ground color blend together perfectly. The birds are named on the back of the plates. The borders are trimmed with exquisite raised gilding and heavy gold rims. These are superb plates displaying the finest artistic ability of Royal Doulton. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Minton around 1850. It is marked with Minton’s “Ermine” mark. The plate is inspired by the 18th century artist, Francois Bucher, and executed in the Sevres style. It measures 9 5/8 inches in diameter. The central scene shows a young man discovering a maiden asleep in the woods. The painting is expertly done with fine detail in heavy enamels. The celeste blue border contains 3 cartouches of tiny flowers. The gilded decorations are raised and elaborate. The slightly scalloped rim is trimmed with dentil gold. This plate is an art treasure in porcelain. Condition: Excellent

This set of 6 porcelain plates was produced in Russia by the Kornilov Brothers factory in the 1880s. The plates measure 8 inches in diameter. They are decorated with a transfer design in soft pastel colors. The frolicking cherubs are taken from French Sevres designs. The plates are slightly scalloped on the edge and are trimmed with delicate gilding. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain vase was produced in Austria in the 1890s by an unknown decorating studio. The vase is signed by the renowned artist “Wagner” in gold in the painting. It has a beehive marking and is titled “Unsre Lieblinge” or “Our Favorites”. The vase is 6 1/2 inches tall and has a diameter of 3 1/2 inches at its widest point. The vase has a unique shape. A flared mouth that tapers to a narrow neck and then flares out for the body of the vase, and once again tapering to a narrow point where the pedestal base is attached. The center panoramic panel has portraits of 3 adorable little girls. They are expertly hand painted surrounded by flowers and a suggestion of landscape and sky wrapping around the entire piece. A ring of turquoise jewels or raised enamel beads encircles the shoulder of the vase. Sprigs of raised gold flowers are scattered on the pure white porcelain. There are accents of beaded gold trim on the neck and foot. The rim is trimmed with rich gold and lacy beaded gilding. The smiling faces of these charming children is a breath of sunshine. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain bowl was produced inParis, France by Bourdois and Bloch around 1868. Eugene Clauss started this porcelain factory in 1828. The bowl measures 12 1/4” long,8 1/8 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches deep. The porcelain is heavily reticulated and has scalloped edges. It has a pedestal base giving the shape another level. It is elaborately hand decorated inside and outside. There are gilded cartouches in five areas inside and four places on the outside. Colorful sprays of flowers are framed by shiny gilding. The remaining surfaces are covered with tiny flower sprigs, all meticulously hand painted. The design is mesmerizing. The inside rim has a border of fancy scrolled gilding. This is an exciting piece of porcelain you won’t be able to take your eyes off.

This porcelain casket was produced in Italy in the late 19th century by Capodimonte. It measures 11 1/2 inches long, 7 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches high. It has a gilt metal frame with hinges and a latch to close it. The porcelain is molded with high relief scenes and ornamentation. Greek gods, nude figures, cherubs and animals cover the surface. It even has dolphins. They are done in bright, colorful enamels. The casket is profusely gilded. It is in excellent condition.

This crystal vase was produced in Bohemia by Moser in the 1880s. It is 12 inches long and 9 inches high. The glass has a lead content and rings when tapped. It is hand blown and has applied glass features. It is formed in the shape of a cornucopia. The glass is dark, sea green. The entire body of the vase is covered with intricate enameled decoration. The flowers and ornamental swags in vivid raised enamels are completely done by hand. The vase is accented with profuse gilding. This is an extraordinary piece. Condition: Excellent. There is some slight rubbing to the gilding.

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in France in the late 19th century. They were retailed at Davis & Collamore of New York. They are mounted on bronze bases. The pair measure 9 1/2” tall and are 4 1/2” in diameter at their widest point. The vases are hand painted with Weatteau scenes on the front and landscapes on the back. The painting is finely detailed and brightly colored. There are sprays of flowers on the sides. The neck and bottom have a wine colored border with a fine pattern similar to fish scale. These borders are accented with ornate, raised gilding. It is fortunate that these were preserved as a pair. They will give a lovely touch of France to any interior.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg around 1815. Both pieces are marked with the impressed Nymphenburg shield. The diameter of the saucer is 5 1/8 inches and it is 1 1/4 inches deep. The cup is 3 5/8 inches high and has a diameter of 3 inches. The cup is hand painted with a scene of a maiden spinning yarn. It may have allegorical significance since it is painted in the neoclassical style. The maiden is painted with fine detail and bright coloring. The handle, interior of the cup and foot are gilded in heavy gold. There are gilded bands on the saucer as well. This is a rare example of Nymphenburg neoclassical style porcelain. Please see the matching cup and saucer listed as A. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Mintons in 1893. There is an impressed date cipher indicating this year. The plate is signed by the renowned artist Antonin Boullimier. It is #7 in a series of 12 plates. It measures 9 1/4 inches. The delicate bone china has an unusual reticulated border. The center the plate has a hand painted scene of a GrecoRoman young woman with a goldfish bowl. She is pouring water into the bowl for the fish. The painting is of the highest quality porcelain painters ever produced. It is beautifully colored and well balanced. The border of the plate has celeste blue enamel that was often used by Sevres in France. Boullimier was the son of a Sevres artist, inherited his talent, becoming one of the most celebrated artists Mintons ever had. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

This porcelain trinket box was produced in Germany by the Koniglich Porzellan Manufactur, or KPM, in the 1890s. The box is signed under the glaze with a blue scepter and a red orb over the glaze. There are hand painted numbers and a symbol. The porcelain is framed with gilt bronze ormolu. The lid is hinged to the bottom portion. It is decorated with an Art Nouveau design of swirling gilding and translucent enamel jewels in shades of peach and amber. The side panels repeat this design all the way around the box. An ivory ground presents the gilding and enamel decorations in subtle elegance. Condition: Excellent

We believe this porcelain box was produced in France at the Sevres factory in the late 1700s. It is unmarked. The quality of the painting and the workmanship of the doré bronze rim have led us to this conclusion. The box measures 3 inches long, 2 1/4 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches deep. It is hand painted with panels of colorful exotic birds in fine detail. It is elaborately gilded. The painting is on the top of the box, the sides and the bottom. There is another magnificent scene inside the lid. The porcelain has molded cartouches you can feel when you touch it. The bronze frame and hinge are wonderfully hand crafted. It ranks with items produced by Meissen, KPM, Nymphenburg and many other renowned porcelain manufacturers in Europe. Condition: Excellent

This pair of bronze candlesticks was produced in France in the late 19th century. They measure 6 3/4 inches high and the base has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. There are 3 areas on the candlesticks that have the champlevé enamel decorations, the cup that holds the candle, the bobeche and the base. The enamel decoration is elaborate and very colorful. There are girl and boy cherub figures creating the shaft of both pieces. They are in excellent, antique condition.

These 10 porcelain double handled cups and saucers were produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn Dresden decorating studio in the 1890s. The saucers have a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and the cups are 2 inches high. There are Rococo style molded designs in the delicate, translucent porcelain. The handles are also done in that ornate fashion. Each piece is beautifully hand painted with pastoral scenes of young lovers in gardens. There are two scenes on each piece as well as lovely floral arrays. They have elaborate gilded trim and accents on the handles and rims. These charming cups and saucers would have been used for cream soup or bouillon, but with a little imagination, you could use them for fruit or your favorite dessert. Only five are pictured but the set consists of 10 cups and saucers. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain charger was produced in France by Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman Limoges in the 1890s. It is titled on the back “Dictant Une Lettreâ€, Dictating a Letter, “after Harry Roseland". Harry Herman Roseland (c.1867-1950) was one of the most notable painters of the genre painting school around the turn of the 20th century. An American, Roseland was primarily known for paintings centered on poor African Americans. The charger measures 13 1/2 inches in diameter. The Limoges blank was painted and signed by the artist P. Bazanaud. The scene shows a well dressed young woman writing a letter for an elderly black woman. The figures are portrayed with fine detail to their attire and surroundings. The border is scrolled and heavily gilded. The porcelain is pierced on the back and wired for hanging. Condition: Excellent. For the purpose of accuracy, there is very minor wear to the gilded edge. When viewed straight on it is not visible.
