This Avante garde porcelain platter is attributed to Martin Fritzsche. It is similar to works in the Broham Museum in Berlin. The platter is 17” long, 13 3/4” wide 2 3/4 inches high. It has a Seger mark under glaze, the model number 5894 incised in the porcelain and worn, unintelligible painted letters. The design is 3 dimensional with unique crystalline glazes in shades of moss green brown & turquoise. A sea maiden rising from the waters wears an ornate headdress with braids, beads and modeled blossoms in Art Nouveau fashion. Most examples of this work are one of a kind and are exhibited in museums in Germany. Condition: Minor roughness to some petals on raised blossoms. Small firing separation on back rim with some filler. More photos available upon request.

These plates were produced in Germany by KPM Royal Berlin Manufactory before 1920. They are 8 1/2 inches in diameter. The porcelain borders are cut out or reticulated in a lattice type pattern. They are hand painted in the style of Meissen. The flowers are colorful and realistic. You can see the veins in the leaves and the texture of the flower petals. Gilding accents the reticulated borders. Chose from A or B or buy them both. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain service was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer in 1918. They are marked with the red orb, blue scepter and iron cross markings. The pattern is known as Neuzierat. There are a total of 43 pieces. The set consists of an oval serving tray, coffee pot with lid, tea pot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, cream pitcher, and 12 sets of cups, saucers and dessert plates. All pieces are hand painted with sprays of vibrantly colored garden variety flowers. There is elaborate raised gilding and additional gilding inside the rims of the cups. This pattern is no longer produced by KPM. It is difficult to find an entire matching service. This is a remarkable offering of superb quality. Condition: The service is first quality. The cream pitcher has minor chips on the spout. There are no other defects, no evidence of use, or restoration.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory between 1847 and 1849. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches. The cup is 3 inches tall with a diameter of 3 1/2 inches. The front of the cup has hand painted scene of a mountain lodge. The painting is highly detailed in vivid colors. There are two figures in the foreground with a dog and a person hanging out of a window. The shingles on the roof, the wood panels, and people on the porch are painted in amazing miniature detail. The surrounding mountains and trees are exquisitely portrayed. It appears to be a very inviting place, perhaps no longer in existence, except for this cup. Condition: Slight wear to gilding inside rim of cup and gold around well of saucer.

This porcelain vase was produced in Germany by the KPM Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer in 1901 according to the date letter impressed on the foot. It is marked with the under glaze blue scepter and red orb. The vase is 6 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 3 1/4 inches at the widest point. The ground color is dark, nearly black, with mottled patches of teal blue or turquoise breaking through. A gilded mesh net overlays raised enamel blossoms. The foliage is painted with raised gold. The edge of the net has ruby translucent enamel drops hanging down. The mouth of the vase has a flower petal shape with an enameled lady bug on each petal. The design is influenced by the Asian culture with refined detail and craftsmanship you would expect from KPM. Condition: Excellent, first quality, without defects of any kind.

This porcelain platter was produced in Germany by Hermann Ohme. It was sold white to the Donath Dresden decorating studio in the late 19th century. The platter has a diameter of 11 1/4 inches. The porcelain is molded with deep swirls and has a scalloped border. The center of the platter is beautifully hand painted with a bouquet of flowers. They are realistically painted and are vivid in color. The border of the platter has intricate gilding. Condition: Excellent. We have 2 platters available.

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Ernst Teichert Dresden around 1884. The mark is blue under glaze. The plate has a diameter of 9 3/4 inches. There is a 1 3/4 inch reticulated border around the plate. The center has a hand painted scene of lovers in a garden. It is surrounded by a cobalt blue border. Elaborate gilding frames the painted scene. The pierced border has panels with flowers alternating with scrolled decorations. It is all outlined with gold. You can see the elaborate details and fine craftsmanship Dresden porcelains are renowned for in this beautiful plate. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain toast rack was produced in Germany by the Richard Klemm Dresden studio in the late 19th century. It measures 5 inches long, 4 inches high and 2 3/4 inches wide. The porcelain is molded with rococo style decorations. The toast rack is hand painted with Meissen style flower decorations. The flowers are vibrantly colored. There are gilded accents and trim. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory in the late 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and is 1 inch deep and the cup is 2 5/8 inches high. The porcelain is molded with a basket weave border and a swirl design in the body. The handle on the cup is in the shape of a branch. There are finely hand painted sprigs of flowers scattered around each piece. They are vibrant in color and realistic in their portrayal. There is lacy gilding at the rims of each piece. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain vase was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the 1890s. It was sold white ware to an American studio decorator. The vase measures 10 3/4 inches tall and the base has a diameter of 4 inches. It has an Art Nouveau look. The roses come out of this misty green background in a mysterious and appealing way. This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1890s. It has the first quality blue under glaze crossed swords mark. The bears measure 5 1/2" high, have a width of 3 3'4" and is 3 1/2" deep. They are modeled in fine detail and are hand painted. They look like frisky characters. This porcelain box was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has first quality crossed swords on the bottom. The box measures 4 1/2” long, 3” wide and 2 1/2” deep, The lid had a finely hand painted bull finch bir perched in a blue berry branch. The coloring is vibrant and the style realistic. Little flying insects dot the bottom half of the box. The rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Very slight wear to gilding on edge. There are no other defects.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1900. It has the first quality blue crossed swords mark under glaze and model number T175. The height of the figurine is 9 1/2" with a diameter of 4 3/8" at the base. The modeling is finely articulated. It is hand painted in excellent manner. The piece is from the art nouveau period. The subject matter exhibits charm and grace. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea bowl and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen. The mark dates from the period around 1750. The crossed swords mark is under glaze and is first quality. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and is 1 1/2 inches deep. The cup is 2 3/4 inches high. It does not have a handle. The shape of the set is in the form of a lotus blossom. There are finely hand painted sprays and sprigs of flowers scattered across each piece. The rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: It is in very good, un-restored condition. There is some light wear to painted decoration in the saucer. There is slight rubbing to the gilded trim on the rims. The foot rings are slightly rough. These are commensurate with the age of this item.

This porcelain 8 piece set of tea for two was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1870s. This is a first quality set. The tray is 17 inches long and 12 inches wide. The pot is 8 inches high. The set is painted with a striking pattern inspired by the Japanese, known as Imari. The colors are vivid and the decoration is bold. There is cobalt blue and iron red accented by shiny gilding. Condition: There is a sizable chip near the rim of the sugar bowl and a tiny nick on the underside of the lid. On the tray, there is a tiny chip on the shell shaped handle that is hardly noticeable. Considering the age and rarity, these defects are minor and may be corrected if desired.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1800. The cup has a scene of a tourist attraction, Bastey or Bastie, southeast of Dresden. The saucer is 5 7/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 3 inches tall (without the handle) and has a diameter of 3 inches. The scene is hand painted in minute detail. There are people standing at the edge of a cliff, over looking the Elbe River with the sandstone rock formations in the background. It is a beautiful remembrance of places and times past. Condition: Cup has restoration, slightly yellowed inside.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1800. It has the first quality under glaze crossed swords mark. The style of the cup is from the early Biedermeire Period, 1815 -1848. The saucer measures 4 3/4 inches in diameter. The cup is 3 inches tall (without the handle) and has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The front of the cup has a very intricate scene of a city Bautzen. There was great variety in the forms of architecture making it an interesting subject matter. It is hand painted in fine detail. There are two figures in the foreground. It is a marvelous representation of that city from a 200 year old perspective. Condition: Slight wear to gilding on saucer.

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1860s. It is first quality and has the under-glaze crossed swords marking. The plate has a diameter of 10 inches and is 1 1/2 inches deep. It has an elaborate reticulated border that extends 1 1/2 inches into the plate. The center of the plate has a cobalt blue ground. There is a reserve hand painted with peasant women and a sheep in a detailed landscape. The reserve is framed by an ornate gilded cartouche. There are tiny raised rosettes that are colored blue or gold within the reticulated design. There are areas of elaborate gilding and the back of the plate is gilded as well. This plate exemplifies the exquisite artistry and workmanship the Meissen name represents. Condition: Excellent
