This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Berlin, Germany by the Royal Porcelain Manufacturer, known as KPM, in the 1890s. It has the under glaze blue scepter and over glaze red orb with the letters KPM. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/8 inches high with a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The hard paste porcelain is of the finest quality ever produced. The ground color is deep cobalt blue. The front of the cup has a hand painted portrait of a “bonnet girl” often pictured during the art nouveau era. Framing the portrait is a cartouche of ornate raised gilding. There is elaborate hand gilding around both pieces. A border of gold filigree trims the inside rim of the cup. The gold trimmed handle is shaped like a split twig. This cup and saucer is one of the finest examples KPM produced. Condition: Excellent

This 36 piece glass service was produced in Bohemia by the Moser Glass Decorating Studio between 1880 and 1890. It consists of 12 plates measuring 8 3/8 inches in diameter, 12 champagne goblets measuring 5 3/8 inches tall with a diameter of the bowl 4 1/4 inches and 12 wine glasses measuring 5 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of the bowl 2 3/8 inches. The glass is hand blown crystal and cranberry cut to clear. All of the pieces are hand enameled with medallions of roses and other colorful flowers. There are panels of ornate raised enamel scrolls and flowers. Vibrant colors shade from light to dark in the style in which Lobmeyr was famous. The quality of the enamel is exceptionally fine. The gilding is incredibly elaborate. Tiny coils of gilding cover the ruby portions of each piece. There are gilded ornaments, gold beading and additional trim. We could not find a signature but we have found identical pieces that were signed. This set was received as a wedding gift before the turn of the 19th century and was packed away in an attic. There are no chips, cracks or wear to the gilding. Celebrate this holiday season with this exceptional Moser service.

This set of 12 porcelain dinner plates was produced in France by Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges around 1900. They were made exclusively for the fine retailer Richard Briggs & Co. of Boston. The plates measure 9 1/8 inches in diameter. The plates are decorated with elaborate raised gilding. Cartouches containing vividly hand painted sprays of flowers decorate the borders. Embossed bands of gold trim the outer rim and the interior of the plates. The bright colors of the flowers and the bright gilding are outstanding on the pure white porcelain. The foot ring on the backs of these plates is painted with gold. This quality workmanship and beauty of design exemplify an era of elegance you will enjoy. Condition: Excellent

The cup is entitled “Das Konigl: Opernhaus u: Bluchers Stanbild.” Roughly translated it means “The Konigl Opera House at Blucher’s Statue”. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cup measures 3 inches tall with a diameter of 3 5/8 inches. The front of the cup features a hand painted depiction of the location noted. It is painted with precision and skill. There are wide bands of gilding trimming each piece. Topographical cups and saucers help preserve the memory of monumental historical architecture. Condition: There is light wear to the interior gilding of the cup and to a thin band just below the painting. It is minor considering the age and rarity of the set.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Manufactory KPM around 1835. The cup is 3 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 3 ½ inches. The saucer has a diameter of 6 inches. It is inscribed “Andenhen an den 8ten Funi 1835” on the front of the cup, translated as Commemoration of the 8th of June 1835. The bottom of the cup is inscribed “Zur Erinnerung von F.G. Weise aus Wulften” or “As a reminder of F.G. Weise from Wulften” The cup has three claw feet and an ornate handle. There is a hand painted scene on the front of the cup of a sumptuous estate with a man and woman in the foreground. The painting is precise in perspective. Historical events and architectural achievements were documented for posterity on cups and saucers such as this one. Condition: The gilding on the saucer has minor wear. There is very minor wear to the gold trim on the 3 feet of the cup.

The cup measures 3 1/2 inches high and the saucer has a diameter of 5 1/8 inches. The front of the cup features a detailed hand painted view of a location in Germany. A castle can be seen in the background. The scene is unnamed. These topographical porcelains document the place in time as it was in 1815. Condition: The cup has a significant chip to the side rim. There is wear to the gold bands of both pieces. One must consider the rarity of these items since many were lost over the course of wars and time.

The front of the cup is finely hand painted in neoclassical style. There is a maiden appearing to be offering a branch of flowers. The interior of the cup is gilded on the sides to the bottom. Condition: The foot ring on the cup has a minor, flat chip.

The diameter of the saucer is 5 1/8 inches and it is 1 1/4 inches deep. The cup is 3 5/8 inches high and has a diameter of 3 inches. The cup is hand painted with a scene of a maiden spinning yarn. It may have allegorical significance since it is painted in the neoclassical style. The maiden is painted with fine detail and bright coloring. The handle, interior of the cup and foot are gilded in heavy gold. There are gilded bands on the saucer as well. This is a rare example of Nymphenburg neoclassical style porcelain. The saucer is scalloped and the cup is puffy and blown out with a flower handle. The ultra-delicate porcelain is finely hand painted with garlands of colorful flowers. There is lacy gold trim and accents within the design. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/16 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is hand painted in fine detail. There are scenes of lovers in landscapes surrounded by garlands of colorful flowers. The rims are trimmed with delicate gilding. Condition: The rim of the cup has slight fading to the gilding mentioned for accuracy. It is hardly noticeable.

This porcelain trinket box was produced in Germany by an unknown company in the 1890s. It has an under glaze blue crossed swords mark imitating the mark of Meissen. From the workmanship it must have come from the Dresden area. The box measures 2 3/4 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep. The box is hinged and has a gilded metal frame. The lid is hand painted with a scene of lovers in a garden. There is pink and gold trim around the top and bottom rims. The interior of the box is gilded with bright gold. This charming trinket box might win your heart. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain dish was produced in Bohemia by the Hermann Ohme Porcelain Manufacturer around 1885. It is 6 1/4 inches long, 5 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. The porcelain has a swirled ribbing that makes the dish fragile and translucent. The inside of the dish is hand painted with Dresden type flowers in bright colors. There are little buds and twigs scattered around both sides of it. The inner rim has delicate hand gilding. This dainty heart shaped dish is a charming accessory for almost any room. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain basket was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. It is marked with an under glaze cobalt blue crown and shield. The basket measures 9 1/4 inches across the handles, 6 1/2 inches wide and is 2 3/4 inches deep. It features entwined handles and delicate reticulation. The interior of the basket is beautifully hand painted with colorful flowers. All of the reticulation is outlined in gold inside and out. It is a sweet and fragile reminder of by-gone eras.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. It measures 8 3/4 inches in diameter. The plate is made of fine bone china. The celeste blue rim is reticulated. The center of the plate is hand painted with floral bouquets and colorful swags of flowers. The painting is delicate and detailed. There are gilded accents and trim around the rim. This plate will make a lovely display piece. Condition: There is light wear to the gilded trim around the rim. Facing it straight forward, you hardly notice it.

This set of 6 cut crystal cordial glasses were produced in Bohemia by Moser in the late 19th century. The glasses measure 3 3/4 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 3/4 inches. The glasses are hand cut and have panels of amber glass in panels around the outside. Vermicelli gilding covers the rest of the surface of the glasses. The scalloped foot of each glass is cut with a star. Condition: There is wear to the gilded surfaces from use.

This cut overlay crystal decanter and 6 glasses was produced in Bohemia in the late 19th century. The decanter measures 15 1/2 inches tall including the stopper. The glasses are 4 1/8 inches high and the openings are 2 3/4 inches in diameter. The glass is hand blown and ruby cut to clear with frosted wheel-engraved areas. Intricate scenes of game birds in the forest encircle each piece. This set would compliment a room with a rustic hunting theme. Condition: It is in overall good condition with very minor rubbing to the ruby finish and a slight water stain inside the bottle. It will display very well and is ready to use.

This ceramic tile was produced in the United States in the 1880s or 1890s. It is unmarked but it may have been produced at the Trent Tile Company of Trenton, New Jersey. It measures 18 inches long and is 6 1/2 inches wide. The tile is decorated in high relief with a classic Greek maiden. It is light green in color with a high gloss glaze. The figural rendering is fine, exemplifying expert artistic ability. Tiles of this size are uncommon and the subject matter is quite desirable. It is ready to hang in an ornate gilded frame. Condition: Over all, this tile is in very good condition. There is all-over crazing of the glaze, common to this type of ceramic. There are a couple of areas with slight wear to the glaze, very minor but mentioned for accuracy. There is one glaze pop on the lower right edge that occurred in the kiln.
