This set of 8 porcelain tea cups, saucers and dessert plates was produced in Germany at the renowned Nymphenburg factory. They are dated from 1958 through 1978. Most of the pieces have the dates on the bottom. The plates measure 7 inches in diameter, the saucers are 5 inches in diameter and the cups are 2 inches high. The rims of each piece are crimped and scalloped. All are hand painted, with no two pieces exactly the same. The monochrome floral painting of Dresden style flowers is accented with gold. The rims are all trimmed with gold. There are two orange, two gray, two yellow and two puce sets with a total of 24 pieces. They are a true delight to see and use. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain miniature tureen was produced in Hungary by Herend in 1976. It is a commemorative piece celebrating 150 years of production by Herend. It measures 5 1/4 inches across the handles and is 3 3/4 inches high. It is made of fine, hard paste porcelain. The piece is decorated with garlands of stylized corn flowers and foliage. There are blue ribbons and the finial on the lid is a lemon. Condition: Excellent

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in Germany by Meissen in 1973. They measure 5 1/4 inches high and have a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. They have a rich cobalt blue ground. The reserves on the front of the vases are expertly hand painted. The sprays of brightly colored flowers are framed in elaborate gilded cartouches. There are other gilded features and trim. They are decorated with the pattern known as “Rothschild Birds”. The porcelain is molded with a raised basket weave border. Colorful birds sit in a tree with a necklace hanging from the branches. Butterflies and insects are scattered about the surface of both pieces. The handle and rims are trimmed with gold. Herend’s creations are tasteful and timeless. NOTE: Although only one cup and saucer is pictured, this auction is for 8 cups and saucers in the Rothschild Birds pattern, and all 8 are in excellent condition.

This porcelain bowl was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1970. It measures 10 3/4 inches by 10 3/4 inches and is 3 3/4 inches deep. The bowl is square shaped with rounded edges. The porcelain is of the highest quality. Chinese style motifs are used for decoration. There are elongated, stylized dragons, fighting roosters and Chinese symbols hand painted and amply gilded inside and outside the bowl. There is heavy gold trim on the rim. This is a very substantial piece of porcelain. Condition: Excellent. This is a first quality bowl.

It is decorated with traditional Chinese motifs. There is a pair of fighting roosters in the center of the bowl. Ornate dragons and Chinese symbols decorate the borders. These are all superbly hand painted and amply gilded. There is heavy gold trim on the rim. The outside of the bowl is decorated as well. Condition: Excellent. This bowl is first quality

This porcelain German Shepherd figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the 1960s. It measures 11 1/2 inches high, 7 1/2 inches long and 3 3/4 inches wide. The dog is nicely modeled with specific attention to details of the breed. His coloring is by hand. He has a very attentive demeanor, seemingly waiting for his next command. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Hungary by the Herend Factory between 1950 and 1970. The saucer is 4 1/2 inches in diameter and 3/4 inches deep. The cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine quality porcelain. There is a basket-weave motif molded into the porcelain. The rim of the cup is scalloped. It is decorated with a form of “pink onion” design in raspberry color. The pattern is quite intricate and is accented with gold. There are little sprigs and a medallion inside the cup and sprigs on the outside of the saucer. The handle and rims of the cup are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain covered box was produced in Hungary by Herend between 1950 and 1970. It is 3 inches long and 3 inches high. The box is molded in the shape of a preening bird. It has a special European style. The bird is hand painted with bright enamels in lovely detail. Condition: Excellent.

The dish is formed with a ribbed interior fanning out into a scalloped edge. The decoration is taken from the Chinese. There are fighting roosters in the center, red dragons and Chinese ornaments. These are all hand painted and gilded. There is gold trim on the rim of the dish. Condition: Excellent. This is a first quality dish.

There are artist's initials impressed in the base. The piece depicts a family of koalas clinging to a tree limb. They are bright eyed and quite adorable. They are hand painted in life-like colors. The group can be viewed from all sides. You can appreciate the delicacy of balance that was involved with the creation of this figurine. This charming group of koalas is first quality and in excellent condition.

His splendid plumage is finely detailed. The mallard is lifting up out of the water with powerful, swift wings. Heidenreich was able to express this moment of motion with amazing realism. The group measures 5 1/2 inches high, 7 1/2 inches long and 6 inches deep. It is a depiction of a pair of frisky Borzoi dogs. The dogs are modeled delicately, with fine detail. Their faces are beautiful. There are many slender limbs, so it must have been difficult to keep the porcelain from failing as it was being made. The dogs are hand painted realistically. Condition: Excellent. There are no defects or repairs.
