This porcelain chocolate pot was produced in the US by Willets Belleek in the 1880s. This is a factory decorated piece. The pot measures 9 3/4” high and is 5 1/2” from handle to spout. The handle is shaped like a dragon that wraps around the pot. The body of the pot has a creamy ivory hue. It is hand painted with two colored gold. Some of it is shiny and some of it is matte finish. Ferns, leaves and blooms are painted with raised enamels you can feel. The decoration is refined, executed by master artisans at Willets. It has similarities to pieces done by Royal Worcester around the same period. Even the spout is a face or mask of a bearded man. This chocolate pot is quite unique, a one of a kind piece. This pair of porcelain plates were produced in England by Cauldon in the 1890s. They were produced especially for Bailey, Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia. The porcelain is fine bone china. They measure 8 3/4” in diameter. The ground color is ruby red, overlaid with tiny gilded flower buds. The heavy gold borders are accented with bright colored flowers in heavy enamel. You can feel the enameling with your finger tips. Cauldon has innovative designers and expert painters to create works of art on porcelain. The borders of these plates look like an English country garden.

It was made especially for Tiffany in New York It is artist signed “Hartmann” and titled “A Quiet Spot”. The plate is 9 1/4” in diameter. It is made of fine, white bone china. The border is celeste blue with raised French enameled roses and Asian mons. The edges of the plate are richly gilded and there is beaded and lacy gilded accents. The hand painted scene of a young woman reclining in summer grasses is exceptionally well done. The young woman seems to fit into the peaceful landscape as part of all the nature around her. It is the kind of place we want to be in, away from the distractions and cares of the modern world.

The hand painted scene of a young maiden sitting in a flowering meadow, is gazing at a lark flying in the distance. The quality of painting is fine with attention to detail. Distant views, sky and earth give balance and perspective. It is very calming and pleasing to the eye. It is as if you just happened upon this young girl in here moment of quiet contemplation.

This porcelain and sterling silver tea pot was produced in Trenton, New Jersey by Lenox around 1906. The pot measures 9 ½” from handle to spout and 6 ¼” high including the lid. The lid locks into the pot. The photos show the porcelain being a bit off white, but it is actually more ivory colored, more so than the average Lenox piece. It has the letter “S” engraved into the plaque on one side. The silver overlay is finely engraved. Some of the silver overlay looks like a trellis and there are charming bows accenting the design. The pot appears to be transitional piece from art nouveau into the art deco period. It is fine quality and high style.

This ceramic wall plaque was produced in France at the Manufacture Nationale de Sevres in 1928. The artist is Adrian August Leduc. His painted signature is on the back of the plaque as well as an impressed mark. It measures 11 ¼ inches in diameter and is 1 ½ inches deep. The design is abstract and high relief. There are rows of white circles with gray accents. There is wonderful texture to the surface. You can interpret them as bubbles, cotton balls, ova, ice or whatever comes to your mind. The border has bands of charcoal gray that are intentionally crackled and mottled. The border frames the plaque with contrast and additional interest. The surface has a shiny glaze, slightly crazed, which is pleasing to the eye. It is complete with a custom made metal frame and hanger made of brass or bronze. It is well suited to hold the weight of this piece. When you concentrate on the elements of its design, it grows on you.

This set of 13 porcelain luncheon plates was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1905. The date cipher indicates this year. Two artists signed the plates, E. Clark and C. Harris. The plates measure 8 7/8” in diameter. The fine white bone china is molded, rounding out the center and giving it depth. The rims are contoured so that the plates are divided into 6 segments. The border is cobalt blue enamel with 6 green enamel cartouches. Each one contains hand painted flowers or exotic birds. The paintings are in fine detail and vivid colors. The cartouches are outlined in raised gold with raised gold flowers and gilded ornaments. A band of gilt filigree accents the interior edge of the border. The outer rim of the plate is beaded. These plates were made to order for Phillip’s of Mount Street, London. The monogram “H” is hand painted in the most minute flowers. The expert artistry and meticulous gilding make these plates a splendid addition to any table.

These 6 porcelain tea cups and saucers were produced in Germany by Meissen around 1890. The saucers are 5 ¼” in diameter and ¾” deep. The cups are 1 ¾” high and 3 ¼” In diameter. The porcelain is molded in high relief. Intricate gilding highlights the raised designs. There are reserves with hand painted flowers of vivid colors and fine detail. Tiny insects can be found among the flowers. The handle and rims are trimmed with gold. The quality of these cups and saucers is incomparable. Condition: Excellent

These 12 cabinet plates were produced in Germany by Meissen around 1875. They have first quality under glaze crossed swords markings with pommels. The plates measure 8” in diameter and are 1” deep. They have borders with 4 different colors. Each plate has large, succulent fruits and realistic flowers hand painted in the center. Cartouches within the borders contain sprigs of blossoms. The hand painting is the finest quality with vibrant coloring. The reticulated borders are outlined in bright enamel colors and the rims are trimmed with rich gold.

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory or KPM in 1925. The date letter indicates this year. The plate has a diameter of 9 ¾”. It has a finely reticulated border, all outlined with gold. The center of the plate is hand painted with a scene of the 13th century fortress at Godesberg, Germany. It is painted in monochrome shades of red rust color. There is a garland of roses encircling the border with gold leaves and stems. The border has a gray band with gold trim. The painting is highly detailed, showing the ancient ruins as they once were. This place has been restored and is an historical attraction today. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1933. The date codes indicate this year. It is signed by the artist E. Barker. The plate measures 10 ¾” in diameter. A brilliant array of hand painted flowers in an urn fill the center of the plate. They are realistically portrayed in fine detail. The rim of the plate is finished with an embossed band of gold. It’s like an English country garden on a plate. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Brown, Westhead & Moore between the late 1870s and 1880s. It was produced especially for the renowned retailer Wilhelm Graef of New York. The plate has a diameter of 10 ¼”. The deep cobalt blue enamel ground is decorated with embossed gold flying herons and chrysanthemums. The flowers themselves are raised turquoise enamel. The design is Asian inspired and a fine example of the Aesthetic Movement. The striking contrasts and stunning design make this very desirable. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain coffee/dessert service was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1924 and 1934. It has the dot mark under glaze from the Pfeiffer period at the factory. It is a service for 6 with additional pieces. After Dinner Coffee Pot with lid - 8 ¼” high, 6” from spout to handle. Serving tray – 10 5/8” long, 8 ¾” wide and ¾” deep. Tea Caddy with lid - 4” high, 2 ¼” long, and 1 ½” wide. Sugar Bowl with lid - 3 ¼” diameter and 3 ¼” high. Cream Pitcher – 3 1/8” high and 3 ½” from handle to spout. 6 Dessert Plates - 7” diameter. 6 Saucers – 4 7/8” diameter. 6 Demitasse Cups – 2 7/8” diameter and 1 5/8” high. The set is made of the finest quality porcelain produced in the Western hemisphere. The hand painting is bright and colorful in the Japanese Kakiemon style. There are gilded accents in the decoration. Each piece has some special detail to be noted. The shape of the cups have 12 panels and a flared rim. The saucers have 12 panels to match the cups. The lids on the pot and sugar bowl have flower bud finials. The plates have a slight scallop to their borders but the pattern and gilding match perfectly. It is beautiful set for serving and display. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

It reads, “Vel Arte, Vel Marte” or “Or Skill or Initiative”. The plate measures 10” in diameter. The hand painted scene shows a noble hunting party on horseback, accompanied by packs of dogs, chasing a deer. This was painted by a highly accomplished artist, using depth and proportion with fine detail. It has a photographic quality about it. The bright green border contains cartouches of elegant raised gilding. Bouquets of brightly colored flowers fill the spaces within. A tooled gold border encircles the central scene and the rim is trimmed with gold. This plate is a masterpiece on porcelain. Condition: There is slight loss to paint.

A tooled gold border encircles the central scene and the rim is trimmed with gold. This plate is a masterpiece on porcelain. Condition: There is some minor loss to paint on the edges of the scene.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Mintons in the late 19th century. The date markings are obscured so it is not possible to specify the year. It is signed by the renowned artist, Antonin Boullimier, trained at the Sevres Porcelain Manufactory. The plate is 9 ½” in diameter. The blank is made of fine, white bone china with a reticulated border. The center of the plate has a hand painted scene of a sweet girl, sitting on a log, dangling her feet over a lily pond. Flowers fill the background and a butterfly attracts her attention. The painting is beautifully detailed and colored in soft tones. There is a border of elegant, raised gilding. The reticulation around the edge is outlined in raised gold. The plate is representative of some the highest quality porcelain Mintons created in the Victorian era. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain vase was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. It is 6 5/8” high with a diameter of 5 ½”. The vase has a blown out, melon shape, has scrolled feet and has a molded rococo style border at the top edge. The decoration is very ornate, to appeal to Victorian taste. A cobalt blue collar is over laid with gilding that is mosaic like. Within that collar, on the front of the vase, is a reserve containing a hand painted land and water scene with mountains in the background. It is framed in raised gilding. The lower portion of the vase has a cream colored ground, over laid with a lacy pattern of gilding. In this design you can find cobalt blue butterflies outlined in gold and round ornaments. The border is trimmed with gold and the feet are gilded. The interior of the vase has a tinge of pink color over laid with spattered gilding. It is a truly amazing piece with endless detail. Condition: Excellent

These 8 porcelain chocolate cups and saucer were produced in France at Sevres around 1810. The saucers have a diameter of 4 7/8 “ and are 1 ½” deep. The cup are 2 7/8” high,without the handle, and have a diameter of 3 1/8”. Each cup has a hand painted portrait of a famous French woman, named on the bottom. They have tooled gold frames and lacy gold accents around the edges. The center of the saucers have lacy gold medallions in the wells.There are 4 blue and 4 beige cups and saucers. It is unusual to find a set of matching cups and saucers in recent times. Condition Excellent
