This porcelain vase was produced in Germany by Sontag & Sohne, Tettau, around 1900. It is 7 1/2 inches long at the base, 3 ¾ inches deep and 5 3/4 inches high. The shape and decoration are in the art nouveau style. There is a scene of a Jacobean couple accompanied by a blackamoor and a whippet. It is done in fine hand enameling. A cartouche of embossed gold frames the scene. There are gold accents and the top rim is trimmed with gold. This is a very handsome and unique vase. Condition: There is slight wear to gilded accents on the outer edges of the feet.

This set of 6 plates was produced in England by Royal Doulton in the late 19th century. They are signed by the artist, Joseph Hancock. They measure 8 7/8 inches in diameter. They are made of excellent quality bone china. The rims are scalloped. Each plate has a bird, hand painted with fine detail in its natural habitat. No white shows through. The painting and cream ground color blend together perfectly. The birds are named on the back of the plates. The borders are trimmed with exquisite raised gilding and heavy gold rims. This set of 10 porcelain soup cups and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1925. The date ciphers on the bottom indicate that year. They were made especially for the retailer Marshall Field of Chicago. All of the pieces are artist signed by renowned Worcester painters. Two of them are E. Phillips and A. Freeman. The saucers have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 inches high not counting the handles. The interiors of the cups and wells of the saucers have reserves with realistic, brightly colored flowers. The borders, which are 1 1/2 inches wide, are a deep crimson red. They are overlaid with elaborate gilding. These bouillon cups and saucers are elegant and would be wonderful for display. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain perfume bottle with stopper was produced in France in the mid 19th century. It has some impressed letters and numbers but they are not legible. The style of the gilding and the lady’s dress are typical of the mid 19th century and so this would be considered “Paris Porcelain.” It is similar to porcelain produced by Sevres. The porcelain is very fine and thin. The ground color is rich cobalt blue. The reserve has a portrait of a lovely young woman dressed in jewels and finery. It is completely hand painted in an expert manner. The reserve is framed in a hand painted gold cartouche. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain pot de crème was produced in Austria at the Royal Vienna Factory before 1820. It has an under glaze blue bee hive mark as well as impressed numbers. It is 3 1/4 inches high including the lid. The finial on the lid is in the shape of a flame. It is decorated with hand painted grape leaves that encircle the lid and the cup. The style of the handle and painting are quite similar to Meissen porcelains. There is gold trim on the lid, cup and handle. Condition: Excellent

This three piece demitasse cup, saucer and plate was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1920. The plate has a diameter of 7 inches, the saucer is 4 1/4 inches, and the cup is 2 inches high. It measures 7 3/4 inches high and the diameter of the base is 3 1/2 inches. The porcelain has a high gloss glaze giving it an almost glass like finish. The ground color is salmon pink. This porcelain serving dish was produced in France by Theodore Haviland Limoges in the late 19th century. It measures 13 inches long and 6 3/4 inches wide. The porcelain has molded decoration and handles are built into the dish. We know that it is factory decorated since there is an impressed mark as well as a printed mark. The border is turquoise blue. This color blue is used in the decoration and is overlaid with fancy gilding so only a little of the blue shows through. It most likely was used to serve bread. Condition: Excellent

The plates measure 9 7/8 inches inches in diameter. They are decorated with a factory transfer with hand painted accents. They are surrounded by fine, lacy gilding of tiny vines and flowers. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Spode around 1800. The saucer is 5 5/8 inches in diameter and it is 1 1/2 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The cup has the London shape. The ground color is a soft pink. There are reserves inside the cup and around the saucer containing colorfully hand painted birds. They are reminiscent of bird decorations done by the Derby factory. They are encased in gilded cartouches. These alternate with segments of intricate gilding. Condition: There is slight wear to the gilding in the well of the saucer and traces of wear around the rim. This cup and saucer is in amazing condition for its age. Both pieces ring when tapped.

This decoration is accented with hand coloring. There is fine gold trim. The interior of the cup, well of the saucer, handle and rims of both pieces are heavily gilded. Condition: The saucer has one craze line underneath which does not go through to the other side. There are no other flaws.
