Offered is a vintage Heron Studio blown glass perfume bottle with swirling pale lavender, green, and black latticino lines encased in freeform colorless glass. The bottle is 4 ½" tall, including the simple colorless glass stopper, 2 5/8 " wide, and in excellent condition with no other chips, scuffs, or repairs noted. It is signed and dated 1991 on the bottom, as shown. Mary Mullaney and Ralph Mossman work together at their glass studio, Heron Glass, which they built in the beautiful, isolated mountain town of Driggs, Idaho, in the early 1980s. The artists love working with the mysterious, ethereal qualities of glass and believe that handmade items help form connections between people and the places they live. Mossman and Mullaney create work using various glass processes perfected through decades of practice characterized by boldness and subtlety, intricacy and restraint, and persistent attention to quality. They have a standard line of blown glass that includes perfume bottles, goblets and cups, and ornaments. Mary's award-winning work has been featured in numerous art publications and exhibited internationally and in galleries throughout the US since 1988. Ralph's work is featured in numerous collections and galleries across the US and has been featured twice in the "New Glass Review."
