A rather unusual Peruzzi Boston sterling silver cuff bracelet with fantastic patina and truly fun to wear! Unlike most of the designs that the Peruzzi Family is known for, this piece veers away from the Renaissance Revival themes to explore more "ethnic", tribal or even gypsy style motifs. The extensive beading, protruding appliques along the face and the musical dangles hanging off its lower perimeter bespeak its earthiness and "exotic" flair...

The most stunning carved obsidian mask I have ever seen adorning a piece of Taxco jewelry, this is an exquisitely worked example with a deeply golden brownish sheen to it. I admit that I have a weak spot for Mexican jewelry from the "archaeological" period of the 1930s-40s, when newly discovered pre-Colombian treasures inspired Mexican silversmiths and designers to create jewelry based on the ancient motifs of their rich heritage...

Classic Matilde Poulat bejeweled brooch in a stylized butterfly motif with dangles. Encrusted with amethyst, turquoise and coral gems this is an iconic Matl design - timeless and visually powerful in an earthy, primordial way. The brooch measures 2 1/4" tall (including the dangles) by 1 13/16" wide. It weighs 13.9 grams and is signed with both Matilde's and Salas's names. Dating around 1960 and in excellent vintage condition.

Stupendous Rivera sterling silver necklace in emulation of Matilde Poulat's bejeweled jewelry, this is an early piece, very well made and an excellent alternative for all of us who either can't find a Matl or shy away from the prices her creations command. Constructed of two-part, articulated links the necklace sits like a dream around the neck and feels royal...

The second figural Graziella Laffi brooch currently in my inventory (please also refer to Troc item #1090959) this piece is really impressive and quite unusual. I believe that here too we are dealing with the representation of an ancient Inca god, shown with snakes around his waist and in his headgear. The deity's garb is made of thick silver overlay to add dimension and depth to the design, both qualities intensified by oxidation and carefully hand-chased details...

In the style of Matilde Poulat's jeweled hand-mirrors a vintage 1980s piece from Taxco having an ornate frame replete with wirework, beading and topped by two repousse Doves - Matl's favorite "Palomas". The mirror is encrusted with turquoise and coral cabs as well as pyramid-cut amethysts and it has an elongated, teardrop repousse handle. it is 5 1/8" tall by 2 3/8" wide and weighs 40.9 grams...

Generously sized, an early Matilde Poulat brooch featuring two of Matl's classic motifs, her repousse birds perched on the flowers of a stylized potted plant. Adorned with coral and turquoise, the pin can be enjoyed as such or as a pendant with the use of a simple pin-to-pendant converter. Beautifully made, playfully articulated, this is a must-have for the Poulat collector. The brooch measures 2 3/8" tall by just above 2 1/2" wide and weighs 26.7 grams...

Los Castillo cuffs are amazing pieces of wearable art - the quality of the silver sheet used to make them, their balanced weight, the crisp detail in the design and the flawless execution combine to create little masterpieces. In the cuff at hand, inspiration was drawn from Mexico's rich Aztec and Maya past...

One of the most interesting pieces by Los Castillo I have ever encountered - and in my experience a rarely surfacing cuff at that - I am thrilled to be presenting this bracelet here. Fusing copper and sterling silver, the cuff is a double-wide version of the taller's popular des. no 909. Yet in our case, the copper part makes for the repoussage-d face and is then seamlessly applied on the sterling background...

I have only come upon this specific design once in the past - again in the form of a bracelet, that one accompanied by its matching pair of earrings - and have been looking for it since. So here it is, an unusual Deco floral piece, its three-petal links made of thick silver sheet, each one centered by a bezel set turquoise cab. The stones show veining and their color varies from intense turquoise blue to soothing green...

Matching the necklace of the same design that is also currently available in my inventory - you can see the two pieces together in the last photo here - a fantastic Los Castillo bracelet in an elaborate knot design. Though a link bracelet this piece holds its shape when worn just like a bangle and it is very comfortable. Please note the deep chasing in the silver work, intensified by oxidation, and the round perfection of the repousse semi-spheres...

Beautiful, heavy vintage Deco necklace in the style of Aguilar's "half tubular link" design, I am not sure how to present this to you and what attribution to make. It is not signed at all but the construction, weight and quality make me believe that it could be a Hector original. Yet would anybody in their right mind remove the hallmarks link? In any case, here it is, measuring a wearable 15" long (total length is actually 16 1/4") by 7/8" wide and weighing a generous 91.9 grams...

A gorgeous example of my favorite Ledesma work this is a pair of earrings that illustrates in the best possible way the maestro's magic touch in the seamless combination of silver and stone. Resembling highly stylized calla lilies, the earrings curve and curl to reach their pointy height. The color of the malachite is saturated and its polished surface just perfect. Each earrings is just shy of 1 1/4" tall by 3/4" wide (at its widest) and the set's weight registers at 11.8 grams...

One of the nicest, early Los Castillo repousse necklaces I have seen, this piece is a pleasure to wear and to behold. Meticulously worked scrolling links with beading and scale details combine in a pectoral that is eye-catching and attractive without being overwhelmingly big. With a wearable length of 16" (might wear a little longer because of the flexibility of the central links , its pectoral part is about 5 1/4" wide and 3 1/4" tall while at the chain, the necklace is just above 1/2" wide. ...

Vintage Hector Aguilar “Six Spheres” necklace wrought in 940 silver, this is one of the maestro’s most published designs. One of those necklaces that become the backbone of a serious collection and precious heirlooms to be passed down from mother to daughter to grand-daughter. Measuring 20″ long (yet with wide links as these the extra length is needed for a better fit) by 1 3/4″ wide it weighs a generous 246.3 grams. A scarcely surfacing Sigi Pineda necklace and earrings set, here the renowned Taxco modernist combines in the perfect way his skills as a silversmith with his aptitude in mozaic inlay. In this set, sea blue turquoise and what if often referred to as "blue jeans" sodalite are combined in a freely flowing, elaborate knot to create the necklace.
