Here is a striking stickpin, featuring a bright green tourmaline (said to aid in self confidence and compassion). It is surrounded by a gold Art Nouveau framework, with a rose below. A white seed pearl completes it. It is marked 14k, with an illegible maker’s mark. It measures 1/2” x 5/8" and the whole thing is 2-1/2" long. It weighs 2.9g including the gold-filled clutch. In excellent condition and C. 1900. The Tudor rose is a combination of the red rose of Lancaster and the white rose of York, symbolizing the union of the 2 houses and the end of the War of the Roses.
