This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by a Paris decorator around 1870 or earlier. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ½ inches and the cup is 1 ¾ inches high. The ground color of this set is deep cobalt blue. The cup has a reserve on the front with a Watteau scene of lovers in a garden. There are two scenes of landscapes on the saucer. An excellent example of an uncommon form, a Lowestoft hand painted butter boat, showing two houses on an island and with a lattice border on the leaf-shaped piece, and with an angular stalk handle. Retains the label of Rod Jellicoe, a well-known dealer in English porcelain.

This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Worcester between 1775 and 1780. The set is unmarked but the pattern identifies it. The saucer has a diameter of 4 7/8 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high ad the opening has a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The set is decorated with hand painted swags and gilded ornaments in a classical style. Tiny flowers dot the porcelain of both pieces.
