Wonderful to wear as a pendant this retractable pencil slides into an enameled gilded mummy. In the 1870s-1880s, the Egyptian Revival styles were in vogue as archaeological digs discovered ancient tombs that brought to light rare finds. Their motifs were incorporated into jewelry, objects, furniture, glass and pottery.

This porcelain vase was produced in France by Sevres Manufacture Nationale in 1915. It has the double markings, under glaze and over glaze in first quality. The vase is 12 3/4 inches tall. It is 5 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point. The vase has a graceful form, with pedestal base and wide opening at the top. It is colored cobalt blue, accented with gilded stars. Modern Classical sterling silver bowl. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1924. Conical with reeded rim, short and straight support, and raised round foot. Acid-etched curvilinear borders with fleurs de lys. Support has scroll-and-dart ornament alternating with squares (vacant). Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 20393G (first produced in 1924), and director’s letter m. Very good condition.

An 18th c French yellow silk underdress front, beautifully and heavily embroidered with metallic threads. The overall size is 27 1/2" by 19". The condition is good, with some scattered wear and pulls. It could highly benefit from a careful pressing.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Brownfield’s China between the 1870s and 1880s. It was made especially for Tiffany in New York It is artist signed “Hartmann” and titled “A Quiet Spot”. The plate is 9 1/4” in diameter. It is made of fine, white bone china. The border is celeste blue with raised French enameled roses and Asian mons. The edges of the plate are richly gilded and there is beaded and lacy gilded accents...

A Porcelain Armorial Plate made by Edme Samson et Cie, Paris, featuring the Jackson Family Crest. It is marked "Jsckson" on the back and "Ovington Brothers, New York" (old Fifth Avenue Retailer). Dimensions; 9" in diameter x 1" high. Circa 1890 and in excellent condition.

Bold pave set chrysoberyl ring in 18K gold. The stones came from Portuguese mines in Brazil. Fabulous jewelry was made from the various gemstones exported from these mines until the French invasion of Portugal in 1809. The ring is size 7 1/4 and can be sized up or down.

This doll is a tough little cookie. She is heavy and round and firmly stuffed with rags and something else that add up to being heavy for her size. She has spindly arms, very sturdy legs with fabric boots sewn on. She is all stockinette. Her slip and panties are sewn on. Her dress is a red calico print and is mended on the front with a red panel and one arm of the dress is badly torn. Her face has with button eyes and a pinched raised nose, and a very tiny red embroidered mouth...

A finely crafted bust of woman with delicate, feminine features, executed in white Italian marble, resting upon plinth. Condition is good though some accumulated soiling, a broken corner of rear of plinth, and slight superficial break in surface around the neck. Probably early 20th C. Dimension: 7 1/2" h

Extended pin stem and tube hinge. Totally English Victorian with Art Nouveau lines circa 1900 or earlier. Open cut chased bench work sterling pin brooch with extended pin stem, tube hinge and "C" catch.
Marks in back include Anchor, Lion and small "b" with maker's mark of "W A" all of which are in depressed cartouches, also numbers 5 & 2 superimposed and an 8 as model or style number.

Nicely engraved, chased and in very good condition...

Large sterling silver serving spoon made circa 1850 by Whiting. It has a lovely, three dimensional calla lily at the end and the detailed leaves at the top of the bowl. The bowl measures approximately 3.5" at its longest. The handle measures 8.5" long. It has a gilded bowl and is in excellent condition.

These two cups are not a matched pair and were made during the late 1800’s. The one cup has more gold in the decoration, seen when looking on the inside. The painted hunting scene has a hunter in a green jacket blowing a horn, white dog following a hunter in an orange jacket holding a rifle and a deer that is running, and a hunter riding a white horse. This cup has two areas near the top section with internal cracks. The other cup is with a silver color that is also seen on the inside...

A pewter tankard marked with the partial touch of John Townsend on the bottom of the inside of the bowl. There are no other marks except the engraved initials “I or J Y” on the front of the tankard. It is 7 inches (17.7 cm) tall and about 6 ½ inches (15 cm) from the front to the back edge of the handle.

This fancy gold lined iron band reads "Gold Gab Ich Fur Eisen", meaning "I gave gold for iron", and was part of a patriotic effort to fund the Austro Hungarian War whereupon German citizens were asked to donate their gold jewelry and other gold articles and in return they would receive iron rings with these patriotic inscriptions.
