Federal Classical silver ladle. Made by Gould & Ward in Baltimore, ca 1820. Upturned fiddle terminal engraved with script monogram. Marked “Gould & Ward Baltimore” with “11-12”, which was the Baltimore alloy. Gould & Ward succeeded Gelston & Gould and was in turn succeeded by Gould, Stowell & Ward. A genealogy of Baltimore silver embodied in a useful serving piece. Very good condition with nice patina.

Superb American coin silver soup ladle, the bright-cut flared handle narrowing to a twist handle that leads to the deeply scalloped bowl. Twist handle pieces are especially desirable, particularly when combined with other outstanding decorative elements. The back is stamped with the mark for Farrington & Hunnewell, silversmiths who worked in Boston beginning in 1835.

Lovely porcelain figure of a billy goat standing on a pad decorated with flowers and foliage. The pad has a slightly impressed decoration on the front and gilt lines at the edges. A gold anchor mark is painted on the back of the base.

Origin: England, 1756-69. Condition: mint, except a tiny flake on the bottom of the pad base. Size: 1-3/8" x 2-1/8" x 2-1/4" tall. The anchor mark is just under 1/4" tall.

A George III Sterling Silver Wine Funnel from the London silversmiths Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard hallmarked for 1810. Measures about 5 1/8" and weighs about 5 ounces. Engraved with the letter "H". Both the outside funnel and the detachable pierced strainer are hallmarked. A fine example.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Worcester around 1770. We have seen other pieces of Worcester in this pattern and although there is no marking, we believe it is Worcester. The diameter of the plate is 9 inches. The plate is rather deep. The border is colored with olive green enamel. The interior of the plate has hand painted flowers cascading across it. A fine Victorian sterling silver sugar sifter with a medallion handle, possibly by George Sharp. Rather than the usual relief medallion, the handle features an applied medallion of considerable depth and detail looking straight forward. This porcelain plate was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1890. The date cipher indicates this year. The plate was made especially for the New York retailer, Wilhelm & Graef. A finely carved and exceptional early wooden Mangle board, Friesland (coastal regions of the Netherlands and northwestern Germany), dated 1674.

Mangle boards are rarely seen dated earlier than 1700s and this is a significant piece, carved in a wonderful geomethric style with micro carving of tiny details. Dated at the top and initialized further down.

This Porcelain Manufacturer around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 4 ½ inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The cup features 3 feet and a graceful, curved handle. The two pieces have wonderful hand painting. Wreaths and swags of colorful flowers are suspended from the rims of each porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Kestner piece.
