An elegant set of 12 sterling silver oyster forks in Dominick & Haff’s desirable 1880 “Kings” pattern. The handles are decorated in the Georgian style with scroll, acanthus and shell motifs. The backs are decorated to match the fronts. The tines are heavier than most cocktail/seafood forks. The backs are stamped with Dominick & Haff’s hallmark.

Origin: America, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, sharp detail, no monograms. Size: 5-5/16” long. Weight: 231.0 grams.

Late renaissance memento mori skull ring. "Memento mori" jewelry translates to "remember thou must die", a reminder to all to live life fully, as death awaits. Memento mori rings were meant to encourage the practice of reflection on one's mortality. This is a very early ring with black enamel etching along the sides and back and a perfectly shaped skull in intaglio on the front. The ring is silver gilt with black enamel carving. Circa 1620. US size 8 1/2.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Thuringia,Germany by the Brothers Heubach in the 1880s. It has an impressed and a printed mark. The kitten is 7 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is well modeled giving the figurine lots of kitty details. The best part is that sweet little kitten face. All of the detail is hand painted right down to her little claws.
