Very nice Gorham sterling silver pin cushion/sewing box. The arched rim of the pierced silver holder has a slightly Gothic appearance. The silk velvet top lifts off to reveal an opening for storing thread, buttons, etc. The interior is lined with the original lime green silk. The bottom is stamped with Gorham's older hallmark.
Origin: America, circa 1900. Condition: silver is excellent, the velvet covering shows the normal considerable wear. Size: 4-3/8" x 3-1/4" x 2-1/4" tall.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Altrohlau, Bohemia, now the Stara Role, Czech Republic, by the Moritz Zdekauer Porcelain Factory around 1908. It has a version of the Scarlet Japan pattern with panels of prunus and chrysanthemums separated by orange bands with gilding and reserved with mons. The interior also has three mons in red. Antique second half of the 19th century Bohemian hand-blown clear cut-glass decanter and stopper made for the Middle Eastern, Persian and Ottoman market. Body of bulbous form with long neck applied with three faceted rings, cut with leaf-shaped panels of hobnail, leaves and diamonds, enamelled with blossom and scrolls and gold gilt, with spire stopper. It is unusual to find such a striking multi-colored basket of such size and in such wonderful condition. The splint basket, with its wooden handle, is from the Northeast area of the United States, and is done in shades of blue-green, orange-red, and brown.
The basket is 18" long, 12" wide, and 14 " to the top of the handle. Overall condition is excellent, with only one splint split on the interior, not visible from the outside.
A fantastic display or collection piece.

Save 15% today... This fabulous find is a delicate blown lead crystal cruet with a large bubble Stopper. Both the body and the stopper share the broad leaves and vines cut and etched motif. It is numbered on the bottom, 43. I don't know if someone etched this number on later or if it was part of numbering system from its maker... who knows. A very nice hammered brass jardiniere from Russia's Imperial era. The vessel is raised on cast lion's paw feet and is flanked by ring handles grasped in cast lion's heads. An elegant and beautiful English ratafia DSOT (double series opaque twist) glass. Ratafia glasses are quite uncommon, and this is a particularly fine example. The elongated conical bowl is has molded flutes in the lower three quarters and leads into a stem with a 14-ply spiral band outside of a pair of spiral tapes.

A delightful and rare Victorian tartanware egg timer covered in an unidentified red, green, black and yellow. The top and bottom plates are in an unusual horseshoe shape. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Cauldon around 1900. It was made especially for Ovingtons in New York. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is decorated with wide bands of heavily embossed gilding. There are borders of hand gilded scroll work with raised beading. It is the epitome of elegance.

A nice South Jersey glass paperweight with a frit “Home Sweet Home” design. The motif features a log cabin with puffs of smoke coming out of the chimney, surrounded by the “Home Sweet Home” legend and a laurel wreath bough at the bottom. The top is cut with a single printy. The bottom is flat and polished, without the incised ring that appears around the periphery of many South Jersey weights.
