Spherical boxes in bronze (or copper) cloisonné in relief. The wires isolate the relief lotus flower decoration, leaving free spaces of enamel between the motifs which is an unusual, more complex technique. The fact of not completely filling the partitions with enamel weakens those which are at the edge of the decor. Rare Chinese form, this Chinese chalice is from the late Qing Dynasty period. The dome shaped lid is topped with a gold finial. The surface of the piece is covered with cloisonne pattern. There is a floral design in black and brown which is offset against a background filled with a fretwork pattern. The chalice with its matching lid stands 9 inches tall.

Large early Republic Chinese cloisonne lidded box on stand that could have graced a scholar’s desk. Circa 1900, Chinese export enamel trough planter with floral scenes in rock garden on a custom wood stand. The glaze on the exterior ground is a lovely pale turquoise, while the interior is a darker contrasting turquoise. The rim features fret key pattern in a vibrant translucent royal blue and the metal trim is silver which has darkened over time. In excellent condition, the planter measures 8" long, 5.5" wide, and 2.5" high. On stand measures just under 3.5".

A very beautiful cloisonne candy box, uniquely colored in both red and yellow; both symbolical of Chinese culture. The collar and shoulder are decorated with the highly stylized bat or ruyi cloud pattern, as well as the surrounding portion of the handle knob, along with floral and tendril foliage. Good condition, with a few tiny nicks, but hardly worth mentioning, save for accuracy sake. Original patina and antique charm well preserved, size 18 cm diameter or 7" and 6 cm or 2.5" high...

Two very rare and large Canton enamel vases on the original wooden stands with lovely rich patina and bright well painted scenes of the Chinese goddess Chang'e. These quatrefoil vases enables the owner to change the scenes at will by merely turning the vase to a different panel. This is rare to find in Chinese vases of the period. These date to the late 19th C. One of the stands are inscribed 'China' with a backwards 'N' to help authenticate period...
