The work of the basketry is exceptionally beautiful quality, the bamboo fibers are very fine and perfectly woven. The mother of pearl inlays are of excellent quality and extreme finesse. Chinese Tianqi Lacquer Round Box with Phoenix & Floral Design, 17th Century

It is 9.25 inches (23.5 cm) tall by 11.2 inches s(28.4 cm) wide. It is 2.5 Lb.

It has hole at the cover and base, peeling of lacquer, chips at the rim, hair line cracks at the box's inner base, surface scratch and repaired at the cover (as seen in the photos).

A rare gilded and lacquered wooden statue of Buddha from the Ming Dynasty. Size: H.17.5cm. W.At the base. 9.3cm. Condition: No repairs. Some of the gilding has gone and the right hand is missing. See last photo.

This antique Chinese offering cup would have been filled with water for Buddha and left at the temple alter. It dates from WanLi Reign during the Ming Dynasty.

The cup is black lacquer, peach shaped for long life, has a footed bottom, and ornate finger stops on each side. It has several nicks and chips as is appropriate for its age. The cup is 1.25 inches high and 3 inches across at the widest point.

Rare lacquered bronze fibula inlaid with yellow metal nails which seems to be gold because it does not oxidize. The construction of this jewel is special, in fact the bronze base was cast and then pierced with thousands of holes in which tiny nails were fixed, welded or perhaps simply forced in. Then the whole was covered with brown lacquer...

A rare, Chinese, lacquer box from the Western Han dynasty. The box is overall lacquered in brown with painted bands of decoration to the body, and concentric circles enclosing a central cloud scroll motif to the lid. Dimensions; approximately 9cm diameter. Condition; the box is notably warped, though the lid is removeable. There is a noticeable crack to the lid...

Very rare lacquered original Han ear cup with a surface decorated in red and black lacquer in scrolling patterns and abstract motifs painted on the ears. Size: L. 20cm. W. 15.5cm. H. 6cm. Condition: No repairs. the outside bottom of the cup is missing. See last photos. It is interesting to see that the cup is hollow inside and not one solid piece.

A unusual rare black wooden lacquered plate with a three fish design and a little frog. Very unusual to find wooden plates from that period. Age: Ten Kingdoms, 907 - 979 AD Size: Radius: 17cm. Condition: Some dirt incrustation from long burial and small old chips around the rim and one little piece glued on the rim. Overall not bad for the age. See photos.

This early 20th century Chinese export lacquer cinnabar bowl is 3 ½” high and 6 ¾” in diameter. It depicts two dragons flying through the clouds chasing a flaming globe. There is an honorable Qian Long mark on the bottom. Aside from some cracks inside the bowl due to age, it is in great condition.
